I was told Fri 2-26 that there are already over 300 selling spaces sold for the swapmeet

Wifey ,Kids and I are going out 3/5-3/7 to our property in JV right next to Lasertown where the event is. Some RDP members YZ450mm Marcus and some others and friends will be there. It would be cool to meet some other off-road families with kids but all respectful campers are welcome on our property we have plenty of room. The property is fenced and bermed so the kids can ride without getting run over except by each other. Please send me a message don't just show up.

I'm looking forward to snagging some trashed 40" Tires for my Jeep 👍

It is officially ON ! New location at Laser Town in Johnson valley, off Boone rd. Follow the signs. Camping on the OHV land is open so bring your desert toys and stay for the weekend. For the first time Saturday we open at 12 noon as well as Sunday morning. Please share and make this huge. Food on site. No parking fee for buyers. Venders can move in on Friday afternoon, Saturday morning. Mask and social distance recommended

I have never been to this, do you know if you can bring used vehicles to try and sell? Or is it just parts?

Absolutely there will be race cars/trucks, rvs, lots of 1/2 finished project vehicles, ATVs, Utvs, maybe hookers & cocaine......Basically anything goes, Curt doesn’t care and this year sellers get more space for less $.

I'll be there, I haven't missed a swap meeting in years. I'm not really buying or selling, the swapmeet is just plain fun to walk around.
I plan on just camping in the desert, walking distance from Lazertown so I can have some drinks at night and just walk over without having to drive my jeep.

Do you know if there are some decent spots within walking distance to Lazertowns entrance? I'll have a couple 38ft rigs with trailers.

Not walking distance under at least 1/2 mile really. BLM land to the North or West would be the option...the W would be closest but you would be on the main drag going onto the lakebed. All the area S, W and E of Lasertown is all private land and all roads are 1 vehicle wide. There has been a lot more grading and property development since this satellite image was taken. It's too soft to go off those roads with any non 4x4's towing trailers or RV's. Traffic in and out of the swapmeet will be a cluster trust me. It's basically a mile of single lane dirt to get to the lasertown gate. They plan to have people with radios on the ends of Pistacio Rd alternating letting groups of vehicles in and out.

Yellow line = Boone RD coming off the 247 (only access to the area)
Purple line= The route to the swapmeet entry gate at Lasertown. Note: There is only 1 gate in/out at lasertown now.
Green= Lasertown
Blue= My place
Red line and X's = closest BLM areas to camp on flat hard ground.

Thank you, that was main concern with getting closer to Lazertown, soft sand, and or private property.

This area looks fairly close and I see some fire pits if I zoom in.

No problem there just lots of traffic and dust as it is on the single entry road going over the bridge onto the whole lakebed. I wouldn't leave anything unattended camping there. Also, per Cody you will need to walk to the opposite side of lasertown where the gate is (only 1 gate to the property).

300+ seller spaces sold already 👍
So does this mean if I was possibly heading out there to try and sell a vehicle, I can't? Sorry I have never been to this and not sure how it all works...

I think a buddy and I are going to head out Saturday morning to hopefully try and sell
my orange buggy.

Never been to this event so should be fun trying to figure it all out.

@Deckin Around is there food trucks and stuff out there for this event? Me and my buddy are heading up in my motorhome and trying to keep it easy without a bunch of shopping and cooking.

there usually is, this is from 2 years ago when they had it at the spotlight casino. Pictures are after midnight the night before it is "supposed to open"

yes, Cur says there will be an "off the grid" food truck, and also the famous hot dogs wrapped in bacon.

Just an FYI, to bring your motorhome in, and tow a trailer with a car will be $150 I believe.

The early bird definitely gets the worm at this event. If you're looking to sell or buy, I would get there as early as you can. There will be plenty to look at all weekend, but all the real good stuff goes quick and early.

Selling I think either would be ok. Unless you are a vendor you can't get in before noon on Saturday is their goal. I assume it will be a horrible clusterfuck at the front gate later Saturday AM. (1) 15' wide gate for all of Lasertown with thousands of vendors, shoppers and off-road toys in and out all day.:rolleyes:

On our way 2 hours and 25 miles. It’s going to be a rough trip.

I received a offer yesterday once we got on the road and go some cell service. We are supposed to finalize everything later today or tomorrow.
