Took Monday off and had a garage therapy session with a buddy.

A bit of restoration work on a one year only 66 Bronco grill and tailgate.

Where is the rest of the bronco? Great pieces you have, what’s the plan for them?

How is this working?
Just fired her up last weekend, had her running all weekend, smooth and quiet.
I have some more clean up to do before the dc pump goes online full time. She ran perfect and seemed to move plenty of water.
I have a salt/chlorine generator that I kinda of forgot about when I wired the panels to the pump. I did not go thru the pentair box and I should have and added another relay. The generator can only be on when the pump is on and it it currently wired to the intelliflo pump. Should be able to get it all working next time I get a chance to get up there.

It all started with changing the leaf springs and a tune up on the old golf cart.

That lead to:
New shocks
New roof
New rims and tires
Repaint all metal hardware
Reupholster seats
Body paint
New steering wheel
Ceramic coat trim on all plastic parts (highly recommend for any golf cart makes it look new)
Stereo coming next

This was a total cab of worms “well while I’m here I might as well do this” project.

Just about finished and ready spend the summer at the river.

Painted the cart the same factory pearl white as my truck. New upholstery, steering wheel and
line-x’d the roof. Next it is off to the stereo shop and I also have a guy coming over to pin stripe it.

Maybe a lift with wheels and tires down the line.

Is that pump a dedicated solar pool pump and panels? Self sufficient system with solar heat. I like it.
I’ve got a 12 volt circulation pump that I’ve back shelved for a hot tub.
This is a 2nd pump plumbed inline with the intelliflo pump. This 72V pump will run during the days and at night for the spa ect.. we will use the intelliflo pump. Solar panels are for the 72V pump only. This project started out just to build a cover for the equipment and turned into this mess.
I do not have any panels for heating the water yet. We are on natural gas, the cost to heat the pool a few times a year is not that expensive compared to the cost of installing heater panels on the roof.

Hope you or your buddy are restoring it back to original. There aren’t many unmolested ones still in existence. 👍

Buddy has owned this one for 30 years... It’s not going back to original as it was a 6cyl three on the tree truck. It will however become closer to stock than it is now.

I know.....F150's get no love from the big bore and diesel crowd, but mine has been good to me - mostly.

this is from a while back....F150 4.6L water jacket head gasket failure...apparently was a recall under warranty, but mine failed at around 130k, 30k over warranty.

Engine now at 230k, no new issues. Now I get subtle shift shudders and I think the plates need help so will soon rebuild the 4R70W Transmission...stay tuned.

Im bringing dinner to the facility guys that are converting the the parking lot lights to LED's

The original post we measured was 240, so we went out and bought all the bulbs but they started blowing like crazy...

Turns out that was the only post out of all of them that was 240 and the rest were 480....fuuuuu

Heres the diff between the 240 and 480 volt lights...

What are the over all dimensions on the turn fin?

I'm building one out of forged aluminum I beam, aprox 12.5 long by 5.75 high.
For a squirt bötē.
Thanks,
Dan'l
Aluminum I beam! That’s cool.
This fin is a bit bigger that I would build for most boats just because she’s no tiny dancer.
The slow speed maneuverability is not real good without one and with a top speed of around 40, a Lil extra drag is not an issue.
With the base plate, the fin is 7.750 deep by 14.500 long.
I’ve never set a jet boat up but on the Rayson Craft 21 GN’s that I’ve done I always have set them up at 6.000 to 6.500 deep.
5.750 overall depth should work just fine for ya!
Make sure you post a picture of it!
Dave

Added some clearance lights to the dock banger. I’m at the ramp in the dark often and only have one yellow and felt a couple more won’t hurt.

I added 5 2 led ones to my trailer. One led is the running light and the other is blinker. The whole side of my trailer blinks now.

Latest Traeger that I did a resto on for a friend. Decided to deliver this one in the Bronco cuz he is very closeby.
fullsizeoutput_f43.jpeg

Have done about a dozen or so over the last year or two. From fixing a simple problem to a full rebuild, sandblast, and paint with all new parts. Can get expensive but it is worth it especially on the older made in USA models. Some before and afters...
