And the Hemi swapWell.. If you're gonna upgrade the lights, you're gonna need the Dynatrac Prorock 60/60 combo too.

Looks like one of the Cleghorn side trailsThis is my first time taking it out for “real wheeling”
crazy what lockers will do lol
It was we took every side trail. It was actuallyLooks like one of the Cleghorn side trails
I have taken them a bunch, funtrail when it's not overcrowded by side by sides big Jeep runs. The last time we were up there though I stuck on the Fire Road because the overgrown brush looked like it would give you some gnarly pinstripesIt was we took every side trail. It was actually
Pretty easy.
It seemed easy enough to me too but someone rolls their rig almost daily out there. It was we took every side trail. It was actually

Looks like you’re rolling on 20’s?I’ve been busy!
Cut the rear sway bar bolts for clearance to the frame.
changed front and rear diff fluid
Changed transfer case fluid.
repositioned the rear shock reservoirs
Tighten front shocks bolts
Installed brake line brackets.
when out to deep creek this evening. Pulled out some guy that couldn’t speak English. Brand new z71 buried to the frame. Used my winch but I was just dragging the Jeep. Had to power break it and bury the rear wheels to get solid enough to get the winch to work.
guy jumped in his truck soon as I took off the hook.
going out again tomorrow . View attachment 986647 View attachment 986648
18”sLooks like you’re rolling on 20’s?
There were more people out there with rigs that had no business being there than people with capable rigs.It seemed easy enough to me too but someone rolls their rig almost daily out there.
Well, doing better than me, bought mine with 20’s,,,,,yuck. Rides like it has no tires.18”s
I bought it used. Would not have been my choice. I might sell all 5 wheels and tires.
I think my spring rates are to soft I hit the bump stops easily.Well, doing better than me, bought mine with 20’s,,,,,yuck. Rides like it has no tires.
I’ve seen a lot of upside down Jeeps too. People roll on the off camber downhills normally. But yes, that and Azusa is where all the squids go.There were more people out there with rigs that had no business being there than people with capable rigs.
We watched this guy with a dodge Durango spend about 5 minutes trying to get up that hill.
And then we both just walked up like it was nothing
Oh I know which downhills they roll on. The video above has to be one of them. My rear tire had to be way up in the air. Wife and kids prefer we don’t do that one again. Video from outside don’t look bad, but from the inside that’s about all the teetering I can handle.I’ve seen a lot of upside down Jeeps too. People roll on the off camber downhills normally. Ya thinkYou don't want 20s on a Jeep. Dead give away. It's like calling gel-coat paint
Take them on 2N49. It's right in the same area and a real nice scenic ride. Not hard but still fun. Gets up in the pine trees too.Oh I know which downhills they roll on. Currently building this one. 2004 LJ Unlimited. I’m putting an Eaton True Trac in the rear with an Eaton e locker in the front. 5:13 gears, I picked up a 4” short arm lift with Currie springs, Rock Johnny double adjustable control arms, Fox Shocks, sway bar disconnect and will ad a slip yoke eliminator. This is my first Jeep. The GF has wanted one for a long time. View attachment 981454 View attachment 981455
i’m running 4.56 with 35’s and it works pretty well. I wouldn‘t go much lower if a lot of highway driving is doneYou might want to do a little more research on your gear selection. Unless you plan on going to 37’s you’re going to absolutely hate that low of a gear.
5:13's and 35's seem about right all around in my TJ. It has an auto trans if that matters. Newer Jeeps have much better transmissions then the older ones. You might want to do a little more research on your gear selection. Only think I would change is put an e locker in the back. Oh, and chrome molly axels f/r too.I made this decision based upon a couple of charts for the 42RLE OD Auto Trans and also based on What Jerry Bransford recommended on the Wrangler TJ forums.

If you change it later you're spending money twice! Nothing like front and rear lockers. But if only doing one the front is the place to put it. I have a front Eaton and the rear is still the factory Rubicon locker.I thought about it but decided to just do the E locker in the front. The Tru Track is inexpensive enough that I can change it later if I think I need to. Here's another gear ratio chart for that transmission.

But his LJ only has 3 gears + an overdrive.I changed to 4.88 gears on my Jeep running 37's - put it right back into the stock RPM range - runs great and uses all 8 gears like stock
I have the same in mine, love it.5:13's and 35's seem about right all around in my TJ. It has an auto trans if that matters. Newer Jeeps have much better transmissions then the older ones.
go w/ the anti rock over the sway bar disconnects, I just got the same lift for mine, I love it.Currently building this one. 2004 LJ Unlimited.
