We had countless incredible runs from Benicia. The boating around here is incredible. Sadly the cost of living & politics make this region & state a place we don't care to live our lives any longer.
Thank you Rev for making the trek down here just to buy us lunch & spend a few hours with us, that meant a lot to both of us.
We are beyond excited to start this new chapter at the midwest mecca for boating. Exploring new bodies of water will be amazing.
Starting to look into an adventure to see the entire navigable Mississippi River........
gonna miss you kids, but hope and pray to visit soon!

Peeled all the blue painters tape off our sled, checked all fittings etc, added some oil to tanks. Lil wash down to get road grime off & take KingofBeers wife to lunch on the lake tomorrow. Thankfully KingofBeers will be here on Wednesday with Liberator so we will have multiple missiles to rip up LOTO. Weekend forecast looks decent, will be fun to get out & see how ruff this gets versus SF Bay & Delta.

LOL

@KingofBeers left momma, dog, and cats at home so he could have a peaceful drive across the country!

He did have that lil to do of getting their house sold & picking up the Liberator. He's probably blasting thru New Mexico now, sadly I-40 is in TERRIBLE shape but there was a huge snow storm along I-80 so that wasn't an option

Quick evening run with Mrs & Mr KingofBeers to Red Fox, Big Dicks, & Boondockz View attachment 1002594

You gotta get a pic of your float in front of Big Dick’s Halfway Inn...🤣

One on-water bar that I found was really laid back was Dockknockers. The Clark W Griswold wiring had my eyebrows raised, but the atmosphere was cool.

Sadly the turnout for the poker run was VERY sparse.
Big thanks to KingofBeers for his help getting our tank in the water. His wife is a trooper enduring steady rain from their house 7 miles down to the dam in the back seat.
We made the best of the day & thankfully the rain quit before we left for the second stop.
The reports of Lake of the Ozarks getting ROUGH are legitimate, several times we were glad to be in at least a 30 footer.
Still absofrickinlutely LOVE our Skater

Other reports about the Delta having faster water seem true. Solo this morning could barely get to 100mph and I could always get 102/3 out in the Delta. Humidity may have something to do with it, can only spin to 5800rpm. Maybe I shouldn't have had breakfast.
Did 90 miles roundtrip yesterday. Quick 62 mile run solo this morning. More to come this afternoon.

Buoyancy in salt vs. fresh?
