I spent most of the day yesterday getting the throttle control shifter right in my old eliminator with a Volvo 280. I ended up pulling out most of interior and got everything close to perfect. Went out for a water test this morning and I need to make a few cable adjustments.

Mocking up the reclaimed fence for the epoxy resin bbq counter. Needs to get a little warmer to pour. Also, got my Beer/Wine fridge, regular 32-degree fridge, and ice maker in. Always wanted the ice maker. No kegerator because of the temp in summer. However, if there was a bourbon kegerator, I might change my mind.

Couldn't find a reasonable priced Chevy C10 shortbed so I am converting a C20 longbed into a "Custom Shortbed."

Bought on 4/20 (Date not intentional but fitting)

Bed was off the first weekend

I am interested in doing this same thing. Are you going to get rid of the 3/4 ton suspension? I have started to look into doing that.

I spent the day tearing out a bunch of lath and plaster from a dining room bay window. Pulled the nasty curtains, all of the original window trim and mouldings from around the ceiling and everything down to the studs. Cleaned up by dinner time too! Imagine all of the shit that came down with the ceiling in a 110 year old house! 😲

Next is to install some recessed lighting and replace all of the ropes on the counterweights in the original double-hung windows. Insulation and drywall hopefully next weekend. 👍

Having poured plenty of wire reels tops in my prime (With varying long term success) --- how do you mitigate expansion and contraction in a humid outdoor environment ?
I will let you know it a year. However, with it encapsulated in Epoxy and not directly on the sun, I would not think oxygen would be allowed to contract and expand.

Ok, check out the outdoor bbq countertop pics using reclaimed wood. The pics without the resin are much lighter. With that being said, I have listed 4 powders for possible joint fillers. I was originally going with black because of the lighter wood. However, since the darkening of the wood, I was thinking about gold or blue. Input Please.

Not tile, just the backside of laminate flooring used to form the mold.

That’s down right sexy! What’s the details on that bad boy ?
1986 Potato chip Cole TR6.
Current owner bought it in 01. Had Krazy Kolors put killer paint on it.
I re-rigged it for a River Boat.
He ran a big in blown injected Chevy in it. Ran right at 130 in the low 8s when he took it to Lake Ming.
Wanted to change the look after all these years. Kept original lines but changed the Colors up.
Pulled all the rigging out to update and re-ano.
Decided to go Hemi. It’s a 540 with all the good stuff. Gonna run Stack Hilborns on alcohol.
Should be fun!

Actually finished a few lingering projects on my days off...

moved the air compressor out of the wife’s garage and built an enclosure for it along my shop. I still need to plumb the shop correctly instead of 1 long air hose.
604390CF-58B8-4CAD-8A9C-F8E4ED604386.jpeg

and then decided i needed to do the “extreme gardening” and brush up the back of the shop and get that defensive space dialed in.

3F939029-50CE-4E9A-86BB-F1749568C44B.jpeg

installed four 8” speakers in the patio. I had ran the speaker wire when we built. I finally ordered the speakers and found the courage to cut the drywall based on framing pics I had. I should of marked them BEFORE closing it all in but that would of made the job too easy.

and this is my current project. Cleaning and painting this table.

That looks good. You should have done cutouts in the wood of different lakes like Havasu, Mohave, Naci..... sorry for the late suggestion, I just thought of it.

How did you like working with the reclaimed wood?

Ok Inmates. Here are some updated pics. The opening under the smoker (far left) is a 10x30 drawer. I pulled it out and the bb's in the drawer slide runner exploded. Ordering a new one. Pile speakers are in and now the bar behind the monster begins. There is an 8' section on each side of the rear for bar seating. More pics to follow.

Rebuilt my Holley carb today on the ol 83' Sleekcraft. The person I bought it from had it sitting for 2 years without draining the gas so it had some carb symptoms. Hopefully the rebuild has the symptoms fixed by the 4th. Ran it yesterday and feels like it ran a lot better. Fingers crossed!

What am I not working on. Picked this classic Grand Am up from a forum member. Starting to customize it with black valve stem caps, black liscense plate frame, and some new headlights. Not pictured is I installed a new gear on the seat lift motor. Oh and a Teague sticker for street cred.
