He fucked America too. I guess he would rather us overpay for energy from the Middle East than our friends in Canada. Not to mention the permanent and construction jobs that were lost.

Well it is officially dead, clueless joe just fucked Alberta out of 1.3 billion plus future incomes

Fuck you joe and all commie liberals
X100 !
To include the positive ripple effect of all the growth benefits of the Pipeline Construction. On both ends, and all along the route as well. Propertry tax increases also as the area grows and prospers short and long term. Growth is like a rising tide, it lifts all boats. The Northern States could do with a few bigger cities of 250000+ residents. 20 U.S. States are suing the Administration over the Pipeline.

But Clueless Liberals will say it is Racist Enviromental Terrorism.

I'm in the same union as the pipe fitters / welders that were looking to maybe get a job on the pipe line. Most if not all have already found other gigs across the U.S. Different story for the locals that were hoping to get a job.

And you honestly support hard working men and women being cut off from their only means to support their families? Not everyone can just jump into another job or career that easily.

NO
And that’s a bullshit analogy.
Tax payers from the entire country had to contribute to that corrupt waste of money that was only going to help a few. The pipeline was mostly private business and would have benefited the entire country in the form of lower energy prices which would have helped grow our economy as a whole.

Yup, apples and oranges for sure. I attended a presentation15 years ago. Labor and the airlines Were supporting the bullet train to move people because the airports could process more cargo and make a greater economic contribution If there were fewer passengers. Who knows. It all depends on who’s telling the story.

I get that there would have been SOME benefits to the bullet train. But the benefits to cost ratio I’m sure are very poor. And, those costs were on the backs of the entire nation of taxpayers. The pipeline wasn’t taxpayer funded and would have benefited everyone. Just a little different.

LOL 15 years ago they said the entire train would be done by now for less money than they have spent so far.

All the estimates for 15 years have been based on BS numbers and inaccurate projections.

Literally nothing they have claimed originally will ever happen. The speed of the train, the length of the route, the amount of passengers, the costs, and the timeline have all been wrong by orders of magnitude.

Seems to be the case with most infrastructure investments. It is "number of passengers" not "amount of passengers."

Which is why we should not be having imbeciles managing our tax dollars, nor should we give them any more dollars than we already do.

And it is "amount of passengers" because they were estimating how full each trip was going to be. The estimate was 100% full trains every trip 15 years ago when they promised a 200+ MPH train from LA to San Francisco. Somehow the ridership estimates shrank when it was discovered that the train would only go form Fresno to Lodi (or nowhere to nowhere) at 70 MPH.

But sure Rod, we can do number of passengers, and just like all mass transit, we the taxpayers end up subsidizing the train and we actually pay to take the 4 people per day from Fresno to Lodi and back.

Good luck with that. Nice attempt at a save.

Rod, you are the one that needs saving If you truly think that the 30 miles of track we have today is what the voters that voted for the bullet train funding 15 years ago intended. It would never ever have passed if you said in 15 years 30 miles of track will be done, the costs will have gone up over 10X and the route will not be high speed and go from Nowhere, CA to Nowhere, CA.

We have been lied to every single step of the way. This has been literally theft of taxpayer monies so those in government to enrich themselves and their friends.
