Hey guys... Heading to powell 9/19 and planning to stay 1 night in vegas on our way. Any recs for hotels with parking for boat that has security? We were going to stay at the wynn but just called them and they said their parking lot for trailers is across the street, and doesnt have security so that is out. Appreciate the help.

Call planet Hollywood, they have a gated rv parking lot near the front entrance. Not sure if it's still there as it's been a few years since we've used it.

I stayed at the new Virgin a couple of weeks ago when I was heading home from my long trip - the security blocked traffic and helped me get into their over sized parking area.

It worked great and the hotel rate was under 200 bucks

I’ve made this offer to other members.
We live in Henderson-at back of cul-de-sac. You are welcome to park boat in front of my home. There is room to park right in front of home or across the street as there are no homes on that side of street. About 15-20 minutes drive from strip.

Southpoint or Rio, They both have oversize parking and pretty good security. I always stop by the security desk and let them know my room and phone number..

I'd find a smaller town to stop at. Mesquite? Kanab? drive thru to the lake?

For years we have driven home from Colorado and stayed in Flag, but we decided to stay in Kanab last week as we've noticed that more and more travelers are now camping out in the hotel parking lots in Flagstaff. Kanab didn't disappoint, clean little town. I would stay at the new Quality Inn, it's clean and nice with parking in the rear.

I was at the Rio about 2 months ago, there were homeless people sleeping in their cars in the parking structures.

When are you coming into town I’ve got two houses with 70 feet of RV parking available.

One is about six minutes west of Silverton. my house, I have another one on the north side of the strip just west off of Sahara

it’s a little tricky backing up not too bad but it has 80 feet of parking. Pm me

I would recommend Red Rock or these 2 fine gentlemen for offering parking.

Aliante isn't a bad place either, really quiet area and right next to the 215 to go north.

Excalibur has security and oversize parking. You can go to Mandalay bay and ask if Excalibur will let you use there oversize parking. Since it's mgm I did that last year.

I'm not sure if it's still the same, but I had to park at Planet Hollywood or Paris because my truck at the time wouldn't fit in the garage. Their security was pretty damn strict. It was a long ass walk to the jobsite though.

Same for us with the mega cab, that's why we parked in that lot. Now we take the Durango everywhere and don't have that problem

Jus’ Sayin with a FYI:
When you call the resorts/casinos about oversized parking ya call hotel security.

If ya get put through to the Valet asking for the same info you’re gonna get mega tip hustled and more drama.
Experience talking.

i have a huge yard. you can put your boat behind my gate if you want. i live in Vegas also. my boat is in storage until my garage is built.

i would stay away from the strip if you are stayin here for one night stay somewhere with litle to no traffic.
north west, southwest would be the only safe choices. staying in a hotel not matter the charge you run the risk.

Stayed at whatever hotel is with Bass Pro Shops when they first came to town. Lots of campers and boats out there with security. Is BPS still there?

It’s the Silverton hotel which is adjacent to the Bass Pro shops right off of I 15 and blue diamond which is a good spot and Southpoint hotel has semi an RV parking across the street from our hotel on the north side. I never heard of a problem anyone parking over there at the Southpoint in that semi parking.

i live near green valley ranch casino, and have seen many tow rigs and boats, parking there. there is plenty of room at the back of their lot or near the District shopping area. They have 24 hour roving security. Way less crime there then down on the strip.

When it comes to overall security in general LV, it's said the Trump International is about the best. I've never seen their parking arrangement. We leave our Suburban with the Valet on arrival and don't see it again until we depart. We just Uber it. Trump is not on the strip and has no gaming. Perhaps others here have actually seen their parking setup.

Silverton Casino where Bass Pro is at, has plenty of free parking with space for boat....they have security patrol the parking lot over night...I have parked there a handful of times with no issues.

A lot of the Nascar Haulers park in the lot before and after the race

The oversized lot is across the street and I have never seen any security, however, we haven't had any problems with our Off-Road racing equipment.
They constantly patrol it at minimum . I guess they only post security there on big events . Still way safer then the silverton in my opinion .

Oh no debate at all, I know there are homeless in all parts of that area, I stay at that hotel alot for work because its close to most my customers out there and is easy to get in and out of....and I have never had a problem or seen a problem, and I see the security cart out there patrolling very often...

FYI / BTW / Jus' Sayin':
Silverton Rooms won't be available starting Aug 1st for (up to) several months. Renovations.
Parking should remain open and the Casino and restaurants too.
The more expensive Hyatt is in the "Silverton Village" will be available but is booking up.

Doesn't South Point have secure trailer parking?
We always call a hotels security for parking info.
