I dont know what they are, but I got a feeling at 4 pm we are going to hear they are: "Redoubling our efforts" and "paving more roads". :loser:
Ford announced it was building a new Car Factory in India and would employ about 5,000 people. I think we should figure out a way to build the cars here and ship them overseas. This is where our government could help dealing with other countries on trade agreements. I know we can build the cars here with our labor and engineering.

If I was Obama I wouldn't give a rats ass what happened from here out. Why bust your ass for 4 more years?? Once you are the POTUS and your term is over you are set for life. Secret Service follows you everywhere. You are basically retired. He will live out a life of luxury from here on out.
So do you really think he cares about what happens to us? He's a celebrity now.
I think the union thread explains why theyre moving overseas. This is like the last big turd going down the toilet bowl. Say adios to manufacturing here and if you want to make a profit.
Our Budget Problems go waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy further than paying for illegals. They are bread crumbs in the big picture, although i don't agree with giving anyone free money, it creates a moral hazard, and is not a good policy in any way shape or form. As the Libertarian mantra goes "I oppose the initiation of force to achieve political or social goals". By telling one person they deserve to get money for nothing due to hardships, you are at the same time telling another that they do not deserve all of their money due to their success.SIMPLE...... stop paying for all the Illegals. Budget problem solved
Here's my take on the speech, it's political posturing, President Obama is gonna talk up a big old storm about this plan his administration has to 'turn the economy around' and 'get america back on track', the republican congress is not going to back any plan he has (whether it's just because of pure partisanship, or because the plan sucks doesn't matter on the campaign trail, they can present it how they want to the public).
He will then use this as a campaign talking point about how he tried so hard to get the country right but was blocked by the evil tea partiers and now they are to blame for our continued economic woes. And he did his best to work with them but they are just too stubborn to come to an agreement.
Politics is a dirty dirty game and has very little to do with the truth.
Obama could turn the economy around and put the country back on track with 2 words:
I Quit!!!!!!!
We do not spend 10.3 trillion annually on welfare, that is a projection of what will be spent over the next 10 years.Well, we now spend $10.3 Trillion annually on the welfare crowd - 97% of whom are fully capable of working for a wage.
Obama to Spend $10.3 Trillion on Welfare: Uncovering the Full Cost of Means-Tested Welfare or Aid to the Poor
Here's my solution - you tell me the flaws in this proposal.
Make the announcement that 100% of welfare recipients that are not physically or mentally handicapped will receive their last payments on 12/31/2011.
Take the Trillion$ being saved and give them to any and all American business employers who apply for the opportunity to train and employ these same folks with the money they would have otherwise received. A bunch of things will happen here:
* First and foremost, self respect is restored
* American businesses, large and small receive a monster shot in the arm
* America's GDP skyrockets
* Job opportunities will open up all over America in all fields
* Struggling employers get free employees for a couple years to rebuild their business base
* Income taxes are collected on the funds that otherwise were lost boosting America's income
* Welfare recipients are now trained and employable
* There is a visible end in sight for America's biggest lost expenditure which will shrink exponentially by the end of 2013.
* Everyone learns that they must work in order to survive
* Many will desire more from life where they will go to school, better themselves and improve their position in life.
(this list could go on for quite a while)
Now, the naysayers (liberals) will say this program might be taken advantage of. Hello! You say that as if welfare isn't the worst investment being scammed from our nation today. Administration of this program would easily be funded from money saved and welfare program workers on their way out. Not a dime would be paid to an employer or an employee, in turn if they aren't performing daily their required task. How is this not an excellent way to end one of the worst tax dollar abuses in history?
Want to see a real fix to the unemployment problem? Remove the payroll tax, workman's comp, fica/ss/medi, basically allow businesses to employ workers without having to do any of the bullshit paperwork. Remove the restrictions on firing workers, allowing employers to not have to worry about hiring someone, them not working out, and then being legally liable if they decide to fire the person. And remove the minimum wage while their at it, let the market and negotiations dictate what job is worth what pay, not arbitrary government policy
If they still want to fund all these programs FICA/SS/Medicare then implement it as part of the 1040 form, taking the burden off the employers, also see how long they last when the workers actually figure out how much they are paying in taxes.
Then take the 700 billion and put it back towards the deficit.
SIMPLE...... stop paying for all the Illegals. Budget problem solved
Well if they want to build that same plant in South Carolina, they'll be sued by the government as that is a non-union state. :skull
