I’m sure I was doing something wrong. I’m not a professional off-road mechanic.
I was told later, I needed to prep it with silicone, to seal it up. I sold that Jeep, in the 1980’s.
It will be interesting to see how it handles river crossings. Water intrusion is hard on any vehicle.
It won’t need a specific air cleaner to keep the water, sand, and dust from damaging the fuel system.
If you run out of fuel in BFE, you run out of fuel.
Tow truck shows up 5-10 hours after you give them a call, and either brings you a fast charge, or 25 gallons of fuel, or tows it out.
There is one near the deer valley airport and I-17. My in-laws used them for two weeks, until their space opened up in Apache Junction. It seemed like a nice quiet place.

I don’t think there are gas stations in the middle of no where. So probably a lot less then a diesel Jeep. But I might be wrong. Need to see the spec’s.
Electric usually has more torque then a Diesel engine. Apples to apples.
