What makes you think a 6.8 V10 works less hard than a 7.3 V8? You would rather have the smaller engine? My 7.3 will yank my trailer as fast as I want the fuel gauge to go down. Trailer is 10,300 empty. Usually is around 12k or more when towing.

Just picked up this beauty from a member. Saves a ton of gas instead of commuting in my 7.3

A buddy and I both bought new trucks in 2018. He got a 2wd Tacoma I got a 4wd Ram 2500. I was 38k OTD He paid more lol and only got 2mpg better. Oh and his paint is falling off.

I had my 6x12 sold for $6000 last week. But wife talked me ought of it because she said I would be able to replace it for 6k. Then this pops up.

The 7.3 has spark plug wires issues. I bought the orielly set that have lifetime warranty for $80 and kept the stock ones as spares.

Ford has been making the 7.3 V8 since 2020 and it is also a gas guzzler. Pretty sure the spark plug issue on the V10 got better over the years. Early 2000’s was when it was more common.

It’s not and never will.
