These homes are just summer homes, retreats for the folks that can afford what you see. Weather not an issue they have homes in warm areas for the fall-spring. FYI there is a cove very close to my house on a Lake Michigan Bay, the houses are from the 1860s-1890s all updated white sand beaches...
