It will be fine after this hiccup, i have been at my current g.m. store for 20 years as a forman etc and after seeing many new products over the years this one has impressed me. i really enjoy driving the 2014 trucks. they are silent in comparison.
Those are on parts restriction if i recall. Sucks for sure, but like all electronics they seem to fail early if they fail.
Kind of a sad day (lol) i am leaving the dmax world after 3 of them and picking up my denali that i ordered 3 months ago, went with the 6.2 liter as i like power..lol...
I like the fact that they did away with the awd, while the transfer case was solid we did do some clutches in some, the case thats in them now is bullet proof. they also have the auto setting that helps on a variable road surface. i also will take the fuel milage increase as well. Interesting...
I work at a gm store as a forman for the last 20 years. I am selling my 2010 ltz duramax for a 2014 denali 1/2 ton with a 6.2 liter. the new trucks are better in every way. they are so different to drive. the new 6.2 is much nicer than the old gen.
Ford still makes a diesel? ..lol

happy fathers day to all the fellow dads. I woke up to home made scones and coffee, my 12 year old was up at 6am baking that for me. What a lucky guy i am!..:thumbsup
Grew up 2 miles from that farm, hayed for the owners many years ago as a kid....
worked on farms for summer work when in school, being a animal lover what happens on some farms by some dummies isn't right at all..
I test rode so many road bikes, they all feel different, i ended up with a specialized roubaix comp compact. it just fit right. it was more expensive than some others but worth it for the fit.
Thanks for that, Up here in canada the trucks with the 6.2 liter are impossible to get, we have found local stores that can get s/c for the 2014 5.3, but my thinking is if your gonna supercharge something may as well be big.:D
We have the service contract in our area for the b.c. ambulance service. they used to use ford diesels, but the costs and reliability issues are to great, they have over 500 ambulances with a maintenance schedule that you have to see to believe basically they are in for a 4 plus hour service...
