One of the main reasons I have little to do with Facebook.....Too many idiots with opinions and the ability fuck with others. If they don't like pictures of something, don't go there, simple concept. Hope the statement has effect on them, but they're likely too stupid to understand it.

Agreed. But I agree on that with any form of social media! I only have FB to connect with older family members that don't use Instagram otherwise I'd rather just delete it as every other post is someone crying or talking about their lame lives!

When Jason (Strippoker) had his Image361 page and posted similar content he had the same issues. We changed the group to private to remove the ability of people to review the page without being a member and still had issues. Once you are reported once, FB monitors the site and will disable the page for periods of time until the owner removes the issues. Jason finally gave up and switched the content to reduce the headaches (he also moved and his content changed).

Facebook is all about making money so they police and censor to keep things tame as possible.......If a similar site was developed that limited use to adults with open content it would likely take away a great deal of users from Facebook. But even if that happened, there would be users that would venture in and bitch.

I need more info before I can form an opinion. Was this guy posting other people's pics without their permission?

As an example, if he's posting pics of my wife in a bikini without our consent, even if I posted these pics on RDP, I'd have a problem with it.

Y does he need original content. I see it like custom boats daily on ig. Most not original but still love looking at the pics. I post a lot of pics into rds. I see it as I'm posting I the internet not just rd. I know I can't control where they go once I post them online

Agreed. I also think there was a thread posted about this FB page a few days ago, unless it's a diff one. I think RD says he knows the people who run the page. I mean, if you post pics of your wife in a bikini on RDP, what does it matter if it's put on a public site (like RDP) for all to see. It'd be the same if all of those followers on FB were also members of RDP, they would just be seeing it on a different site. I think people should be glad that their pics have made it to that site for all to sit and gawk. Granted, if your pics have ugly girls in them, they more than likely aren't going to make it to that page. Maybe its apples to oranges, but to each their own I guess.

It depends on the content.. For example, I pay Jayboat to come to Desert Storm, I pay for a Helicopter to take Jayboat up in the air, and Jayboat then posts the pictures on RDP. If I see that picture on some other website after paying the $$ to develop said content it generally pisses me off. Remove the watermarks on the bottom and I'll lose my shit.

That actually happened on IG this week with the 270 Cobra Pic from the tests, and I posted on FB a more or less "WTF." Being that I dunno shit about IG though someone pointed out that it said "As featured on RDP" across the bottom. Even after that I have mixed emotions on it though, but I did feel somewhat "better" about it.

To the normal younger generation IG person they would say "Oh Dave.. They are helping to promote your site! You should be thankful!" But I have to think in my head.. "Wait a second.. I got my 75,000 sets of eyeballs a month, most these IG / FB etc.. are just getting going. Who's promoting who here?"

Now as for some picture that I shot with my I phone while I'm out cruising around in my boat.. I could give a shit if anybody re-uploads it to some other site.. That pic didn't cost me thousands.. LOL

sure you can use other peoples images to get a page going, but in the long run it is necessary to differentiate yourself with original content. I followed that page from the other thread the other day and didn't have an issue with the photos, but I did have an issue with how that guy went on a rant. I don't think that he started that page as just a place to hang out and chat with his buddies, he is actively looking for followers so that means it has a business angle to it. If he does ever plan on turning this into some sort of business venture even just selling t-shirts his attitude towards a customer doesn't bode well.

He certainly had every right to call the person out, I mean why follow a page and then complain about the photos? But it certainly could have been done in a much more professional way.

I see your point. If u look at my ig most pics have your watermark as I post them to rdp then copy. A lot of people ask what rdp is so it makes sense especially if you're basically paying for that advertisement
