Sorry I sprayed you down! I really try to be aware of the prop spray and drop down the trim when passing other boats close enough to wet them down. If I am moving along pretty good its not a real good move dropping the trim down too low and if that was the case I probably should not have passed you. My bad.
Totally all good, my kids loved it. They kept talking about it all day. It wasn't bad at all, just a little mist that felt good on a hot day!

I'm going with 35. Marc counted 30 at the northbound Cottonwood Cove stop. Then the 3 DCBs and the newer toon joined in at the dam as did the older Spectra.

Most boats ever on this run.

Yeah, I started counting at Cottonwood as well ... stopped counting at 22 and said "fuck it, there are a lot of boats, I'm getting a beer and going for a swim". :D:D

We ran to Willow, boat was running great and when we came off plane we had an alarm. Idled up to Vics boat and got t shirts, thanks again for the shirts. Boat would idle but had 2 short beeps about every minute. Got on plane but was missing a cylinder. Idled back into Willow and left boat at dock. Got a ride for all 4 of us from pipemn back to Katherine's. Got the truck and trailer to run to Willow and picked up the boat. Got everything back to the hotel and got it all home on Sunday morning. Thanks again Phil, don't know how it would have worked out if you weren't there . Taking boat in this week to see what Absolute says. Hoping it isn't anything major. Sorry I didn't get to meet more of you. Will try to do again next year.

I was wondering what happened to you. It was great running side by side for a little bit going up to willow. Hope it is nothing major and we will see you again at the Regatta.

Run was awesome. Kids had a blast but definitely needed a beach. They are 100% my priority when I'm out there so we didn't hang out too long in one spot. Saw some familiar faces and met a few new ones. Good times for sure:thumbup:
Katherines at about 8-50am

Us leading the pack :D Easy to do when you take off a little before everyone. We were caught shortly after hitting the basin.

Slight carnage from the trip. Put the boat in Sunday and broke a drive shaft. Lol. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1439848794.788802.jpg

At least it made the 120 mile trip. [emoji106]

Had a blast trying to keep up with the big dogs in my little placecraft. had a great time. next time I will try to run with the group more. I wasn't sure what pace I wanted to keep cause I didn't know how far it actually was to the hoover. Ended up making the whole trip without stopping for gas!! lol. I guess the first one there was the winner. but we were all laughing in my boat cause we were the first ones back and on the trailer!! HAHA. we ended up driving the boat back to willow and launching it again then headed down to pirates and floated the gorge until the sun went down. then drove back up to willow in the dark!! One epic day of boating!!!

thanks for the pictures guys I will have to post mine on here I have some cool vids of trying to keep up with DON!! LOL

anyway thanks for having me. that was the last stretch of river that I have not gone dam to dam on. So I have boated from the grand canyon down to lake Martinez. That placecraft gets around!!!

next time im taking the mini hydro!!! NOT!!

That water looks amazing.[emoji106]

Funny about the water. Super clear. We were sitting there waiting for the group to start, watching all the fish hiding on the river side of our boat from the fisherman on the shore side of our boat.:skull

From the video you can tell we took off behind the main pack. There were still probably close to 10 boats that started that stretch behind us. It was a pretty wild ride with all the wakes bouncing of the walls further up. You could smell racing gas or av gas throughout the canyon. After a little dip at the base of the damn we took off back down towards Willow so the kids could get back in with out freezing. It was nothing but glass for the most part all the way to WillowBeach. Even the kayakers seemed a little happier:D
