I threw a BBQ out there on Friday, after talking to a few inmates at DS, most of the guys party on the grass hill at Katherine's Landing...I've been so busy at work I haven't given it much thought...My wife and I opened a little shave ice and Thrifty ice cream shop...keeping us really busy, which is good...I wanted to start a Shiver River thread but two weeks wasn't enough...so long story short no BBQ at the Miller's , if there is interest in the future with this event or any other I'm down...few other things I've been meaning to address if anyone is concerned about boat parking call or PM me...All inmates that want to stop by and check out the new ice cream shop should do so ( we also have bulk ice ) I also have most of the tools for any last minute issues with boat hopefully not, just wanted to through that out...as far as the after run BBQ I'm in...count me on two tri tips and chips and salsa (wife has a killer salsa) gonna need somewhere to put cooler of food in a room that sat... Best news of all my oldest daughter will be in town from college so my wifey and both kids will be in the boat, that's a first for this run...can't wait to see everyone again...Shiver River 1190 hywy 95... next to the fire station in old Bullhead across from the baseball field....Rob Miller (928)444 7377

My mom stopped by on Saturday right before closing. I think she said your daughter was working. She grabbed a couple shaved ice for us they were great [emoji106]. With the ac blower motor going out I didn't get a chance to go by w the ski. I think I honked Saturday when we were headed to jacks. We were towing w my wife's silver suburban

Should I bring the bbq from the house? I'll make sure my dad brings his truck. I think I'll grab like 10lbs of meat and chicken. My wife does a weird marinate w Italian dressing and brown sugar. It's actually pretty good

I think I am out this year.

Besides hitting the bottom of the river pretty good in johns new magic last weekend I just got word that I have to support an event at Boeing in St Louis. I will be leaving very early Sunday morning.

So please post up a bunch of pics so at least I can see all the fun I missed.

Anyone happen to know how much fuel is at KL, cottonwood, and willow? I got a 60 gallon belly tank and I can put some decent miles before having to fill up on havasu. My fuel gage isn't the most accurate. Just curious how much cash imma need to carry cause normally don't carry cash.

They will take a card at Katherines and Willow for sure. I'd be real surprised if they don't accept a card at Cottonwood.

Lol Yup. We learned to call the bank and tell them ahead of time not to turn our cards off when we go to Laughlin. Happens everytime if we don't alert them.

Nobody jack off a dog.

Post the girls at the Pepsi machine photos.

That is all.

Every time I walk past that machine I think about that story! Fortunately, we were staying at the casino and left before Frenchie worked the magic stick! :D

We left before the dog incident. I guess he thought it was funny but it didnt go over that way. Too far...way too far.

I saw him at a funeral years ago but thats about it.

Wanted to thank everyone who showed up to the BBQ on Saturday. We had a real good turn out, with no shortage of food. It was great to put some faces to names, and to have a few drinks with new friends. Looking forward to doing it again next year.
I want to give an extra shout out to BHCVic for bringing an extra BBQ and cooking up some great carne asada. Thank you to every who contributed side dishes, paper goods, & other meats to BBQ up. Wished I had taken more pictures, but I was busy manning the grill.

That BBQ was awesome, great food and great people! My personal high points were the tritip and Vic's Carne, and those pretzels were the shiz!!

Oh, and the Pepsi machine almost had another story to tell, but someone intervened with a Sprite just before it got it's ass kicked! :D:D

We had a great time at the BBQ. Since we were boatless, Ellen and I layed in the sprinklers on the grass most of the afternoon. Thanks for sharing the bbq with us, that's always been a hallmark of river life, nobody goes thirsty or hungry. We'll contribute next year.
Thanks, Sharpy, for the hookup on the Yeti cooler, used it all the way home. I had a blast walking over to the launch ramp and watching the Saturday night festivities.
