They must have been raised by wolves. Hungry little bastards. I wonder what those big fish are at the end.

Must be thousands of them to boil like that. I had 12 red bellys for years in a 240 gallon tank. They were skittish until the first bite. One of them had his lips removed and "Jaws" was usually first to bite. Once a spot of blood they would all attack.

http://kdvr.com/2012/09/01/parker-fisherman-gets-surprise-catch-a-piranha/

they are already there... read another article about one being caught upriver towards Needles maybe a few months back?

That particular Parker and Bingham Lake is just outside Denver Co. not Parker AZ.

Don't know about one being caught in Needles area, but I do know a buddy who caught more than one here in San Diego's Lake Hodges, using chicken scraps. He showed the Rangers and they acknowledged knowing about them, but didn't publicize it. A non-swimming lake, but I do see wind surfers out there on occasion :eek

A number of years ago a friend did catch a piranha in Havasu. It even bit him as he was handling it. He showed me the fish and the bite on his hand. He later took it to AZ Game & Fish and they verified it was a piranha. Likely dumped in the lake from someone who didn't want it in their fish tank any longer. They are not a big problem for Havasu. But, the dumb assed people are. And there are far too many of them. Just sayin' . . .

Blue gill. If it was a red belly you would have chunks missing. I have seen numerous pictures of pacus caught and called piranhas but never a picture of a true red belly like ones in video posted.
