I'll probably get flamed for bringing up jet boats around here but don't care. Been drag boat racing for ten years now. Finally can call this record mine.

5.336 ET 1000ft course. Quickest open cockpit normally aspirated jet boat.

Motor is a 572 cubic inch. 18 degree dart big chief. Hp estimate 1800. It's in a 19' eliminator daytona hull.

In October the weekend before Halloween. It will be at Lake Ming again in Bakersfield. Absolutely, if there is enough water in the channel at elsinore we will be back 100%.

It's truly amazing what the jets are doing these days, very impressive. A buddy of mine is running his v-drive, open cockpit hydro next month at Ming. Last time out he ran 5.03 @ 165.4mph in 1000' and says it pulls 3G's. We hope to come down to watch next month.
