Tell me that has a 302???

I knew a few of those in the day that 302s in them.

The first car I learned to drive in was a 73 Pinto - chocolate brown / tan

Without the V8!

Hate to blow your buzz, but I wanted something different and built the 2.3. Cam, header, carb, adjustable cam sprocket, bored. Fun car 'till the fun wore off.

That 2.3 is a great engine. Sometimes it's fun to wring a little banger out. I've been tossing the idea around of using the Ecoboost crate in my next rod. 300hp in a light track t could be fun.

Always loved those. If the right one crosses my path, I plan on building a long roof BRE clone to buzz around town.

Do it! They are a blast. I have owned this car for about 14 years now. It's the fastest go kart I've ever driven.

This is my project. It's a 1968 Chevelle SS396
I bought it in 2005 on ebay. It was up in Placerville so I lucked out having Preacher and Smalls up there to check it out for me. I paid $12,500 + $700 to have the owner deliver to my so cal door step.

It's a 138 factory SS396 TH400 car that was equipped with an earlier 360hp 396 when I bought it. It has factory AC, tilt wheel, power steering and power disc brakes. Currently it has a low compression 468 with an Edelbrock RPM Performance pack that I bought from Jim Losquardo for $2500. When I installed the engine I added a 2800 Coan convertor and had Remac go through the trans. The 12 bolt rear has 3.73's in it.

I have no plans of making this car really fast because I don't want to cut it up or drill it for a cage. All I wanted was a throwback to my younger days, cruise night car to raise the kids with. Somebody it will get a nice paint job. :)

Musclekings car show this year.

I've kept it mostly stock appearing under the hood. The valve covers are stock appearing but 1/2 inch taller to clear roller rockers.

Not super fast but still fun.

It's great seeing these rides. You guys are killing me with the Chevelles though. I had to let this one go during the recession. It got put in a box and sent to Australia. It was supposedly a real '70 SS, but someone else cut it up before I got to it, and the 70's were really hard to track the SS features. I drove the wheels off of this thing every weekend. Jerry even has a quick video of us off roading it at an Irvine Lake V-drive deal. It wasn't that fast because the hard tires wouldn't hook up for anything, but it was loud and had the cam and compression to make it crackle pretty good.

Please share your pre 1975 Hot Rods and muscle cars and feel free to include unfinished projects as well as older sports cars or classics. Post some pics we haven't seen already (if possible). Give details as well as how long you've owned them, where you take em and what their used for. I know a lot of you guys have some bitchin vintage cars so let's see 'em. :thumbsup Modern drive trains ok. :D

Would pre 90s sandrails be almost the same as a pre 75 hot rod lol.

Thanks for the picture Jerry. I didn't know that the event was going to be in the back finger of the lake that year with a half mile of dirt trail to get there, but I wasn't going to miss it. Those were some good times at Irvine.

That's a bit of a stretch. Meyers Manx is ok though..:)

It's a Manx clone as far as I know. My wife snapped these real quick right after I bought my hose and sold it. It was finished once, spent a bunch of time cruising around the Springs and Parker then never finished the second redo. I'd be tempted to build another, they are a blast.

These are the only pics in it's first iteration, at the springs, being followed by the Harley golf cart.
