I rode in the Dial 911 Skater and did 155 mph. It was fast but I have to say, doing 90+ in a twin turbo Schiada was more of a pucker factor!!

For some reason i imagined her convincing someone to step on it.

No way, the owner of the boat's wife used to be Matt's secretary. As far as I know he still has it, blows through drives pretty consistently though.

7k rpm in dial 911 at 155?

You're reading the same gauges that I did! It was the Charity ride from last summer.

The crazy thing was that it was a little choppy on the water due to wind but other than the roar of the engines in your ears, the thing rode like you were sitting on the couch in your living room.

28 Skater 300x's. Actual vid clip of the 117 mph run.

113 mph in the below DCB.

106 in my Mach 26 with 2.5's (don't have a pic on this computer)

Aired out in the ocean in the Cig at 85 mph was the most thrilling ride though...

165 mph in a DCB F32 -- 158.17 mph in a Sanger picklefork hydro, unblown fuel class NDBA in the late 1970s. Averaged 87.4 mph for 7-hours in a Stoker 20/modified Evinrude 235 V-6 to win the Mod VP class at the Parker Enduro in 1981, co-driver with Al Stoker.

142-143mph 33’ Daytona.
Think they were twin 900’s.

Fastest I have driven was a HTM SS with a N/A 540. Low 80’s dad told me to knock that shit off before I could get it to 90

I call bullshit, no way a 33 Daytona runs that fast with only 900hp. It would take 609” with 14/71’s with less than ideal conditions....

So there i was... me and by closest bros headed to Havasu for spring break 2004. Loaded down with all of our black socks, metal mulisha t shirts and flat billed hats. One of my bros brothers had a big DCB. The thing had two decommissioned f-16 jet engines right in the back. Probably went bout 712 mph. Boat had plenty left. Probably banged 98 chicks. SPRING BREAK 04!!

When I was a kid I had a 10' Glassbar with a 15hp. Johnson that did about 15 knots and was by far the best HP to Speed ratio I've ever experienced ;)

That’s running the small props that will accelerate like a dragboat from a running start. 70mph to 155mph in 4 to 5 seconds pins you in the seat, it’s unreal.

Fastest I have been is pretty yawn inspiring compared to most of you guys, lol.

114 in a 21 Daytona. Sweet package, Merc 502EFI (a black engine)/Blackhawk drive package, with an aftermarket (can’t remember now, Paxton maybe?) centrifugal supercharger.
It was the first run off the trailer as far as props and tune. That was 3 guys on board, driver, me shotgun with a radar gun, and a guy in the back with a computer plugged into the engines EFI, doing his final tweaks on the tune.

Someone else here mentioned the pucker factor. :D
That same day we ran a 28 Daytona to about 100-102, and was almost (almost;) ) boring after stepping out of the 21.

That 21 with the blackhawk seems like the ideal set up.

I had a 33 Daytona. It ran 133 with 700’s. 900’s will do 140’s no problem.

He was being sarcastic, boat pulled hard. It was capable of allot more it had 609” with 14/71’s

Other than props are costly..and parts are scarce. Lol.
It was ideal back then that’s for sure.
It was quicker and faster than a blue engine 21, and cost less to do:)

Where’s Mark @Eliminator Boats ?
I think he’s got one of those sleeper 21s :D

Do you know What motor/drive they are putting in that new 21 they are building?

My most unusual 'fast' boat ride was 25+ years ago at Lake Mead. I went with Bob Leach to Temple Bar to meet up with Roseanne Barr who was houseboating with her then husband, Ben (her former body guard) and a few friends. The mission was to give Roseanne some driving tips on her new twin engine 30 Daytona. Roseanne was in the driver's bucket, Bob was crouched behind her and leaning over with his hand on the throttle sticks, Ben was in the back seat and I was standing alongside Roseanne to her left taking photos of her driving and the instrument panel. Got some shots of her and the Livorsi speedo at 102-103mph. The story and photos appeared in Boating Magazine a few months later.
