in a 18'-19' lo profile jet 60-75 mph depending on hull and pump quality (tightness) 50-60 mph in a 20-21' cruiser. Like ALLL boats it all depends upon hull quality and eng. drive combo.
They share many similarities......most similar in that you have to use the throttle to make them turn
You can’t compare a njba jet that has 100k in motor/pump to a Tahiti 455 olds with a panther pump. The UBFJ are amazingly quick and fast. I respect those guys. The idiot jet Boters that wheelie there piles in circles are just clowns.Some of you guys are crazy with your opinions

18 cole tr2 flat bottom River boat 575 hp hyd roller cam ,pump gas , 90 mph
Some of you should start going to NJBA races.
Some of those jets are super quick to 600 feet.
Both boats are super fun.
The Cp is like a old Cadillac compared to the Cole , easy to drive , easy around docks sits 4/6 with ice chest and water skies.
The Cole is a true drivers boat and super fun , 2 seater
Need to learn to drive the. the more seat time time the better
I had 1000hp in my CP for a few years 118 mph was my top speed , super fun , but a PIA
1000 hp in my cole. 140/ 150 mph . No thanks

yes... jet boats have a reverse "gate" that lowers and covers the exit nozzle to re-direct the water flow back under the boat. It's operated by a control handle at the drive helm.

Yep cool bote for sure.. I did a bunch of work on it, built a rear seat deck(alum) that was a upholstered, alum center console, put pins and rams on the motor hatch, put in pop up cleats.. and it is all white now.. sorry cant find any more pics of build on my phone..

It depends. It may have a in-and-out V-drive. That is basically a shifter on the output shaft of the actual V-drive box allowing you to start and run the boat in neutral. Usually it is then shut off, placed in gear and then re-fired. Flatbottoms are fun
