Pest control guy was spraying this morning and came across our new pet in our front door courtyard area.

I hate snakes but they serve a purpose, $75 and he is now on his way to the open desert to live the good life.

Didn't trust the ant and roach spray so I opted for the next best thing I could find quickly in the garage, engine degreaser...lol. Damn thing deflated like a lead balloon instantly.

I hate snakes. I haven't seen one with that light of a tail though. Racist rattler?

,Our resident rattler doesn't do a good job at pest control, just saw a mouse scooting across the back yard. Two days ago, young mountain lion was having a snooze under my neighbour's hammock, being picked up by its momma lion an hour later. Local bear also making his apperance regularly having a bath in the neighbour's pond.Cool watching the Koi going around him escaping his claws.:D

$75 is cheap considering a bite will set you back over 100k.

This guy “was” 4’ from my sons cot at bedtime a couple of weeks ago at Powell. Only the second time in 30 years going to Powell I’ve seen a snake, be careful, they’re around.

We remove the heads with shovels...I have kids that use all 10 acres here. They know the difference between a rattler and a gopher snake. If it rattles, they have to get clear and tell me quick. Only 2 in six years:)

You have to watch out for the young rattlers, they release all their venom unlike the elders.;) Also, they may not rattle unless you nearly step on them.

Went outside and took the cover off the bbq at the river, went back in the house for a beer and grub. Not even 5 minutes later I walk out, set the food down...and I hear a rattle. Initially I thought the propane tank was leaking.

Step back and around, and there sits this bastard. I chopped him with the shovel 47 times...I hate snakes lol. The. put him in a bucket and you could hear him moving still, that was creepy.

Head removed, and body still we used him to reinforce rattle snake training with our dogs. Fuck snakes.

#8 shot works well. I keep a SG and a box of #8 in the closet in our California house. I just killed a smaller rattler the other day. If they stay out of my yard I leave them alone. Come in my yard, you get killed.

There is a cove in Havasu that we go to all the time that has an old Diamond Back living in it. It does not seem bothered by people at all. Hangs out in the bushes above the beach.
