Had to say goodbye

Sad day for my family and I. Today we had to lay to rest our Female Chocolate Labrador. We adopted her when she was 2 from a shelter and she lived to be 14. I haven’t cried this much in years. Love your pets time goes by fast.

Sorry about that, Shane. It's always tough. Definitely not looking forward to saying goodbye to mine when the time comes. One of the worst things to go through.

It might sound a little cold, but getting another does help. You have the joy and companionship that one will bring you while keeping alive and respecting the memory of the ones that came before.

Sorry for your loss Namba. Having to say goodbye to our fur buddies is so heart breaking. I feel your loss. Cancer took my beautiful 11 yr. old chocolate Lab last Oct. and it still hurts from time to time, miss her so much. While no other dog can replace her your other dogs love can help ease the pain some but there is just no way around it, it hurts. I hope the joy of her memories soon replace the ache in your heart your feeling today. The lake with your family is a good way to adjust to the hurt your feeling.

Sorry to read this... Had to do the same noting ago. I can't hardly talk about my dog without getting choked up. Lots of great memories though, such good dogs.
