I always back in. Actually, I don't know anyone that pulls in forward.

Yessir. I feel it’s better for a big cat. Since the bow point isn’t as high as a deep V, I don’t have to worry about my sponsons smacking down on the dock.

Usually just pull straight in. Much easier in a Deck to jump on and off. At BB’s, I like to come in at a weird angle, have the current flip me around and then have half the crew pull me the rest of the way while i panic.

I was just about to say... what did you run out of money for the fourth matching line?

Great looking boat!

I usually like to use the grey ones for the front of the boat and the green ones for the back of the boat - but you see what happens when people "help" the captain out !:)

Used to, all the time. But it's a perishable skill. Last time I did it at the Springs, some poor bastard with an awesome Howard deck boat was left wondering wether or not I had hit his boat. I hurt myself putting me between his boat and mine to make sure I didn't hit his boat. I'm not out as often as I used to be, so I can't do it like I used to and after my last experience, I won't be.

Every time. My cleats line up better that way. Also I’d rather somebody tag the nose all fiberglass than the outdrive. With the box on there it sticks out about 4 feet

Oddly, the only place I don't back in is my own slip at the Landing. Weeds are so thick the drive is better sticking out of the back of the slip.

Hard to do with my V-drive cruiser, reverse is not very steerable.

Backing In - Cleats are Lined Up, Much Easier to Get On and Off, Much Easier To See and Leave the Dock

Backing in always depends on the boat you are driving, out-drive, jet boat, twin screw piece of cake. Try backing in a 20' foot v-drive single screw in the breeze. show me a video then brag. M oops I forgot about the wackers!
