I dig old town Temecula. Go there all the time with the wife. I’ll have to see if I’ll be in town next week. I’m actually surprised that are doing it on a Friday instead of Saturday. Traffic is such a mess on Friday getting to Temecula from just about anywhere.

Nice El Camino, 70? I had a 72 SS, wish I never sold it!
This is a 72 as well. The car was just done last year. Sad thing is now she is done and my first kid is coming in December, so I may sell her to build something more family friendly.

Because I care about today's kids, I would be willing to store it in my garage until they move out!

Nice looking EC! What size wheels tires are you running? I'm building a 67 Chevelle, debating on 18s all around or a staggered 18/19 - 18/20.
18x8 fronts with 20x9 rears. Those are intro wheels with 4" backspace feont and 4.5" in the rear.

The rears are 305/40/20, its tight but it will fit on the caminos with a little trimming of the inner wheel well lip

Appreciate the info! You already know, wheels & stance can make or break a build, looks like you nailed it.

Very true, the car is a 3" 3" drop on BMR springs and spindles.

I did 1" drop springs out front with a 2" SSBC spindle and rear is all 3" spring from BMR

All you need to worry about is getting past Ontario then it should be smooth sailing down to temecula!

That's what I was thinking....was gonna head up and on at Foothill anyways. I'm at Ontario and Main......Ontario ave. at the 15 sucks now......they should have widened it. Thinking about heading down.

Too far for me especially for only 2 hours of cruising. I would definitely go if it were closer.

I'll be shooting the Great Labor Day Cruise in Costa Mesa and Rt 66 in Ontario if anyone wants to be in a youtube video.

Decided not to go....prolly would have taken an hour to get there just have a hard time parking...then I would want to go inside to eat and have a beer and miss the cars. More for locals on a Friday.

Found out too late... Long way for me but I've got a case of "Cabin Fever" and could have used the ride... Maybe next year...Yeah, I know the Needles show is coming, but that is very local. Not far enough to wear off the fever...
Looks like a lot of bitchen cars / trucks made it complete success...

And they added a DUI checkpoint on the north end just past the arch.
WE left about 9:30 and saw the sign and cones set up but no cops anywhere to be found???
Kinda fucked up to set that up right there at the end of the event!

There were about 25 of them with camp set up in the strip center just before the 76 gas station on the corner, gearing up when I went by at 9:30.

But was a great evening of sled candy, fumes and burn outs. :)

Had a great time at the event. A lot of cars I haven’t seen before. Definitely a big turnout with not only a ton of cars but spectators as well. Didn’t make it over to Temecula Pub till a bit later..... maybe 9 or so.
