Glad I left early this morning and didnt hit any traffic or accidents. I did notice how much damage a lot of the guard rails have. It amazes me how many times I see crews on the 40 fixing them. Do people just aim at them?

I guarantee a new guard rail will be damaged within 3days. Don't get it.

I think people fall asleep. The guards rails at least stop the cars from just disappearing off the side, or from crossing to the on coming lanes. Probably what happened here, but don't know. I've done it, and was lucky to live. I'm sure there are a few more here that have nodded off. Sadly, someone passed. At least it seems to be one, not a group.

On I40 in Kingman just last week a guy was fish tailing bad with a camper all over the road,
. I passed him by and the dickhead was head down looking at his phone so there’s that too.

We left Havasu at 6:30 and had smooth sailing all the way to the 15. Sad to see.

Something about the 40 between Barstow and Havasu, never have I encountered so many trucks that drift over into the fast lane, into the breakdown lane or just simply pull in front of you to make a pass at the last possible second. I have driven all over the country and where trucks are allowed to go the same speed as the cars it seems to work much better. 70 and 55 is a bad combo, that and I see them watching movies or texting all the time on that stretch to Havasu.

We were caught up in the mess also- cops had just arrived when we passed by. Fire truck was in route on opposite side of freeway. Sad deal...

Location is about 15 miles west of Ludlow I believe. We got caught in the traffic for about 15 min, it wasn’t bad. We passed thru around 1pm, I’d imagine it’s still there due to the fatality and investigation. Freeway was down to 1 lane
