I thought everyone knew to do it so they don't howl or vibrate in the wind. If not, Tip of the day.
I hit 54 m.p.h. Boom!Old trucker trick. Works on any strap.
Besides that boat isn't even fast enough to worry about it LOL
Same with mine.I don’t twist mine nor do I get vibrations from them.

Yep, I don’t have chincy straps lolSame. Mine are balanced perfect and staggered special.
Learned some interesting stuff about the twist and what it really does to a vertical item. Car antennas and old smoke stacks use this feature. As wind hits them it is forced to swirl up the shaft thus creating a vertical upforce in turn helping maintain its vertical posture vs being blown over. View attachment 789681 View attachment 789682

I just noticed a strap that could perhaps require twisting and adjusting, you know, so it wouldn't howl or vibrateNot the PG ones.
You know the pictures from his good stash. Geez.
Vince at King Kid said to never twist his straps. I used to twist mine and they would come loose constantly. I talked to him and he said run them straight up and down. Since I started doing that, they have never come loose.

Yessirs. It also changes the resonant frequency to reduce whistling noises and vibrations that could disturb the occupants [emoji106]

Fast boats, don't run with the Bimini up. I thought everybody knew that.
