Staying home and so far it’s great! Made it from my office at the 55 and 91 to home on Balboa Island in 20 minutes flat at 5:00pm. Got a parking spot on the street 30’ from the house. Everyone must have gone to the river?

Working OT all weekend. Monday is double time & 1/2. My little one just turned 1 and the wife is pregnant with our second so we will be out of the game for a couple years. Kinda bitter sweet. Took advantage of the sellers market and sold my elite. So we are boatless for now. I dono how I feel about taking them out on big weekends in a couple years. I think we might get a jet and start migrating to the lower river. Every time Ive gone on this weekend its gnarly out there. Got invited to a bbq in Huntington harbor so might hit that up. No swimming tho cause the sewer spill.

Hey, all my kids were on the river at 3wks old. Take the OT on occasion, but buy a cheap shit box boat for a couple years. We always stayed off on busy weekends, but all three kids still love the water. Make enough money, but don't miss family time;)

Staying home and indoors. After working all week outdoors with asphalt and concrete, relaxing today is nice. Did go to Payson this morning for truck parts and that's enough travelling for me. Last thing I want to do is hustle at the river like I do at work. It's not much of a vacation at that point.

Yup.

Tonight is the summer end concert at the lake and fireworks show. So looks like I’m going to see bel biv devoe

Tomorrow the neighbors wanted to do a block party so took the excuse to smoke some meat. Since quite a few asked if I would.

Doing pulled pork sandwiches, ribs and my baked beans.

Ventured over to the boat today. Did a detail job while the wife was sleeping in then went on a harbor cruise. Turned it around in the slip on the way in and aired up the floaties. Officially posted up for the weekend [emoji106]

I too got excited about big weekends when I was a kid. Now, working on the things and always being on the water, I dont feel the need to be anywhere near it on the weekends. Lying low at home this weekend. Maybe I'll take a trip to cabellas or something. Or possibly install my rubrail... we will see

I’m a big fan of their basic bourbon. Let us know how this version is!

I like it, had at a few times at a bar. It’s full flavor for a young bourbon, doesn’t feel like 95 prof. Had a hard time finding it. Was able to pick it up at BevMo and they had 4 bottles. I haven't tried the others form old forester yet. What one do you like?

Staying home. Hope we don't read of a tragic boating incident or a wreck on Rice Rd.

Take off in 10 days for a 6 week off roading caravan around the Southwest.
Mammoth lakes, Whitney Pocket, Williams AZ and so on.
Make sure to go to Walnut Canyon. It’s really cool!

Well got halfway finished on the trailer, went down the hill to pick up more supplies. Hot as balls in black shorts in Temecula. Came home and started to rebuild the old 850 , 2 minutes in and the poor carb it hammered. Going to use my carb instead.

So this is my inexpensive, around $18, bottle I’ll get on occasion. I think it drinks much smoother than your standard $20 bottle. Something I get when I’m not looking to spend a lot of money.
