Missing Boater on Tahoe

They're searching for a missing boater in 600'-800' of water.

I have read and seen news about bodies sinking to the bottom of where the incident occurs and then rising later, but would they sink 600-800'?

Unfortunately I know way too much about this but in shallow warm water they will float in a matter of time. As cold as Tahoe is and deep water they will not resurface. A couple years ago they found a guy in Tahoe and his body was pretty much preserved and he had drowned 20 years earlier.

Yeah, and they found him pretty deep as well if I remember correctly.

Ya they find them in Powell I think 400-500’

Yeah it's weird watching the depth finder....it goes from 30' to 300' within a couple feet and then it doesn't even register. And the water color changes as seen here.

They say Tahoe connects to Donner Lake.
It's deep.

Not a good time to be out on the lake. The Washoe zephyrs (afternoon winds) have been getting worse over the last few days. Yesterday and today were probably the worst so far.
