So, what's the big deal, it's not a million dollar car.:p;):) Jalopnik is the TMZ of car news now?
GM now recalls over 3 million vehicles too.:D

The cars, McLaren said, are being recalled for a potential issue with the engine harness that could result in them experiencing limp mode, torque limitation, engine stalling or misfiring, or overheating that “could cause consequential damage to the car.”

Proportions are way off, bed looks too long with that square hardtop...
Pull the top, change the doors and they start looking much better. Lift, wheels and tires and a sharp color, wouldn't mind sporting one with a bimini after summer...

Personally , all Jeeps look stupid as shit with stock tires. Basically a Barbie car. So yes the Gladiator will look much better lifted with larger tires. And no they are not made for towing a 35 ft boat. Hell around here it seems ya need a dually to pull a 19 ft flat bottom. There’s even an entire thread on that subject. Lol.

Ps. Exception to the rule is a WWII Willis.

Under the body it is 90% Ram 1500 from what I’ve seen but with heavier axles. I like it.

I had a Willys Jeep pickup truck when I lived near Vail, Colorado when I was 21, working on ranches in the summer and the mines in the winter.

I had to plow out my 1/2 mile driveway in the winter to get in and out. In the summer, I would take supplies to the Sheppard who cared for the thousands of cattle we had in the high country.

Those Willys Jeep pickup were geared so low, you couldn’t go over about 50 MPH, and the gears were noisy.....but it could go anywhere....slowly. The trail up to the high country grazing areas was really a burro path. Put that truck in low range 4WD, in 1st gear, it would walk up those steep trails, slowly but nothing could stop it. Wish I still had that truck!

Supposedly it not a stretch JL and a different design truck frame.

Who knows. It pretty sad when you want something, especially the diesel, but feel apprehensive you're going to be buying the next Corvair. :D

Huh...looks like Jeep in the front, modded Ram behind the cab [emoji106]

Automobile mag:

The 2020 Jeep Gladiator shares its body from the C-pillar forward with the Wrangler Unlimited, but not all of its underpinnings. While the pickup truck’s front suspension is identical to the Wrangler’s solid front axle with coil springs, the rear has a five-link coil-spring setup in place of trailing arms, with two upper and two lower forged steel control arms for longitudinal control, and a track bar for lateral control of the axle. The control arms are located under the frame rails, and the rear shocks are forward facing for more consistent damping, Jeep says. The rear suspension design is borrowed from the new Ram 1500 pickup, which has a wheelbase 3.2 inches longer than the Gladiator’s. For its part, Jeep says the Gladiator’s frame is unique to the model

Not a fan of the Fab Fours rack but there are others coming. SEMA will show all kinds of Gladiators and accessories...
