So, you'd hold your nose and vote for Beto over Trump? I realize he has less than zero chance but the chance still exist's.

I'd vote consistent with my libertarian political beliefs and my values. Just as I have done in every election.

Trump is actually closer to those beliefs than Beto is.

Beto;

Remove border fence.
Confiscate AR's & AK's styled rifles
Free health care to illegals
5 Trillion $ Green New deal
Social Justice criminal reform

Are these Libertarian values?

And remember, I said Trump was closer to Libertarian beliefs.

A woman in a hot air balloon realizes she is lost. She lowers her altitude and spots a man fishing from a boat below. She shouts to him, "Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago, but I don't know where I am."
The man consults his portable GPS and replies, "You're in a hot air balloon, approximately 30 feet above a ground elevation of 2,346 feet above sea level. You are at 31 degrees, 14.97 minutes north latitude and 100 degrees, 49.09 minutes west longitude.
She rolls her eyes and says, "You must be a Republican!"
"I am," replies the man. "How did you know?"
"Well," answers the balloonist, "everything you tell me is technically correct, but I have no idea what to do with your information, and I'm still lost. Frankly, you're not much help to me."
The man smiles and responds, "You must be a Democrat."
"I am, replies the balloonist. "How did you know?"
"Well," says the man, "You don't know where you are or where you're going. You've risen to where you are due to a large quantity of hot air. You made a promise that you have no idea how to keep, and now you expect me to solve your problem. You're in exactly the same position you were in before we met, but, somehow, now it's my fault."

There will be a third party candidate that is probably more pro-freedom and liberty than either Trump or Beto.

Although your question of Beto V. Trump is moot as Beto will not be the top of the D ticket and he has actually made it certain that he will not be the next Senator from Texas either.........

You know how a lot of the Trump supporters in here say they don't actually agree with Trump, they just voted for him because the alternative was HRC?

You are so out of touch it's pathetic your getting as bad as Gmac just trying to rile people up of course we don't agree with everything.........

Hmmm, Like whom? An ex-Senator from Arizona perhaps? :D

But, you insisted in previous threads, he wasn't interested.

Romney/Flake would certainly do Trump in. They know its not for victory, its to assure a loss for President Trump. With no opposition, they simply need to get on the ballot in all 50 states. BNAG!! Trump out.

Not going to happen. 500's view of a Romney/Flake ticket plainly indicates that he has less cognitive ability than a cane toad.

And what?

There is a segment of America that will simply vote for anyone but Trump because they view Trump like some in 2016 viewed HRC.

Why else would the Republican party be rigging the Republican primary system, like the D's did for HRC, so that DJT has no opposition in the party and does not have to answer to conservatives for his profligate policies.
Ok. So of their line up, who do you think has the best chance against Trump?

Biden, Warren and Sanders are over 60% of the primary vote right now. Given one has to get out of the primary to go up against Trump, that would most likely mean one of those three.

I don't believe moderate democrats support a lot of what Warren and Sanders has to offer so I would have to say Biden has the best chance against Trump. He is the only one who deported more illegals than Trump, does not want to take away your guns, and does not want to take away your existing healthcare if you have a pre-existing condition.

However, very few people thought donald could win the primary or general and here we are and if most of his supporters in here were honest, they would admit they were surprised he pulled off the electoral college. So who knows what can happen. Maybe Sanders or Warren gets the nominee and America is as stunned in 20 as they were in 16.

Beats me? But it will be fun to watch. :)

The D lineup is a shit show. No way any of those kooks will take the election from Trump. I have to say, the dems screwed the pooch by pushing out Gabbard. I think personally she has/had a STRONG chance of taking the presidency from Trump head to head. She's not fucking bat shit crazy like the dem line-up on stage last night, she is well spoken and polished, she's a soft Dem. she's a veteran and she is likable. That chick miraculously goes head to head with Trump at the end of the race, I'd be biting my finger nails if I was a "Trump or no one voter".

Literally, it's like they are all trying to out do each other to see who can be the craziest?

RD

What is it that happens in their head that makes them say “oh, these are good candidates”??

I could see any one of them winning a CA Gubernatorial race...but President?

Their last offerings got Donald fucking Trump elected.

But seriously, what is the thought process that makes one think that these are the navigators to best tiller the Nation?

You and your ilk are the exact reason why far left wing socialists are making inroads in this country.

Ya know, you say this all the time. Exactly how is it 500's (or my) fault that Senator Flake didn't run in the primary? Here's a little secret for ya. I very likely would have voted for him for the exact reason we got Kirsten Synema.

I have the ability to play the long game.

It’s completely possible that, mathematically speaking, his non- participation vote for Johnson in AZ did more to put Trump in office than my zero effect vote for Trump did in CA.
Yet somehow it’s all our fault?

The Libturd candidates are simply trying to get the nomination at this point and will say whatever it takes to get the nod. They will all move to the center in the primary except for Bernie and this is where their catch 22 comes into play. When they do, the far left will be irate and they will hope they stick with them. After 2016’s shafting by the DNC, me thinks they won’t.

The question is who’s running as an Independent in the general? It will be an individual who sole purpose is to skim votes from Trump. I don’t think anyone is dumb enough to run and skim from the turd candidate.........unless they’re ready for a two shot suicide.

On the bright side, if a turd wins, maybe we can get our much needed civil war party started!!!

I don’t have a pick but I’ve been listening to them all. My guess is it will be a Biden/Warren ticket.
Respectfully, why Biden/Warren?

Looking past all the Republican/Democrate division, all the BS, personal attacks likes or dislikes, on both sides, that is inflamed by soicial & national media, what is it about Biden & Warren that makes you want to support them? I'm specifically seeking out their policies?

IMO, a lot of people blindly vote based on a party or how somebody looks & speaks. As a 3rd generation Californian, I have numerous friends who are Democrates that voted for Newsome & supportered the Dem supported initiatives. Same people complain about the gas tax, the homeless, the roads, getting additional taxes, etc. "They" voted for this BS & then complain, WTF!

On a national level, how is Biden or Warren going to make my life better? IMO:
More taxes=No
Open borders=No
Free medical=Yes, certain groups i.e. veterans, elderly.
Free college education=No, let colleges eat the cost for the low income that qualify.
Gun take away=No, this entire debate is ignorant/stupid on so many levels.
More government=No
Socialism=No

I already paid & pay taxes, college, medical.....It's called "work"......not "free" Please educate me as to why????????

Liberals want someone that is well spoken & polished, like Obama was. They can't handle the truth so need to hear what they want to hear.

That being said, the democrats look like something out of a South Park or Beavis & Butthead cartoon. They look like they're nuts & when they open their mouths, well...

2020...Best election ever, or should I say easiest.

First and foremost, right now they appear to be the most electable. None of them have a platform that I could back 100% but that doesn't mean one of them won't get my vote. You all can understand that given the current administration.

More taxes. Nobody wants that. Tax reform, yes. Trumps plan was a target attack on blue states. I'd like to see it repaired.

Open borders. Nobody wants that and nobody is advocating for that.

Free medical. Nothing is free. Do we need HC reform, yes. Is Medicare for all the answer, don't know but its the most likely direction given the political
climate and the popularity of Medicare. Ask any old person.

Free college education. I think that is a bad idea. I like to see people with skin in the game. I would like to see free junior college come back to California. JC's were very instrumental in training and providing a career path for those that talent or didn't want to pursue a four-year degree.

Gun take away. Nobody is advocating that. The only place you hear that are RDP and NRA sewing circles.

More government. There are times when it makes sense and times when it doesn't. Investment in infrastructure is a good example of when it does. Letting local schools in Texas rewrite history books doesn't.

Socialism. There are varying degrees of it now. Like "more government," there are times when it makes sense and times when it doesn't.

As for taxes, I pay them too. Paid a lot more this year, partially because I made more, and partially due to tax reform.

Appreciate the response. In all fairness, based on your responses, we are not that far off in our opinions. I have not researched the policies of Biden or Warren. A lot of these topics will come down to what "level" the government gets involved in a particular issue.

Much of our information is derived from the major news organizations who have a "dog in the race". A lot of misleading information is continually reported to keep the shock & aw at a high level thus causing major diversity.

America is a Democracy not a Dictatorship. Sure would like to see more fair common sense applied to these issues that politicians love & thrive on splitting us about.

America is NOT a democracy. It's a REPUBLIC
After looking up the the definition of Republic, it appears that democracy & republic are very close to one in the same. I was comparing democracy to a dictatorship, maybe you can better explain your definition of the NOT comment.

Democracy is purely majority/mob rules.

We’re an indirect democracy, a constitutional republic.

We elect people to represent us in government. We don’t actually vote on many things...our representatives vote for us.

The constitution and bill of rights provides minority protections from the majority. Otherwise, the majority would simply steamroll over the minority.

We are a “Constitutional Republic”

Majority rules WITHIN the restraints of our Constitution and bill of rights...I think.
