Any skier getting dragged through that slop is a winner in my book. The people in the boats did not have an easy job, but being strapped to a 6 foot board at those speeds and hanging on.
Remarkable.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks again for taking us along and sharing in this wonderful experience. After a few "Live Feed" sessions, this ole fart is beat from dodging those huge rollers on my screen.
You guys were all guts and glory, thanks for making us proud sir :D:D:D

Thanks Dave, it was tough. I finished 7th overall out of 12 in men's open... Not a bad go for my first World's. 6th place was Jack Lynch who finished 4th overall at the Catalina race. After 4 days off racing and breaking on the 1st race, we were just 200 points away from Jack. I was very happy with our teams performance.

At the train station in Lyon Part Dieu (Leon par Doo). Couple interesting things here. We were in and out on the way here so there wasn't much cruising around.
1. Starbucks - kinda cool to see something from home
2. I had to piss, so I found the water closet aka toilette, only to find out it was .90 € to use it. Ok, go back to our shit get some coins and head back. Drop my coins in the slot and go through the turn style. Like getting on a ride. I guess to keep homeless out?

3. While we were on this adventure I kept seeing these raised, racetrack, type lines on the sidewalk, and on the floor at the station. Turns out they are for the blind to navigate their way around.

Back on the train now for another 2 hours headed to Geneva!

The little guy is passed out, mommy and daddy can sit back and enjoy the ride!

Made it to Switzerland yesterday evening, another awesome town. Geneva is pretty cool. Not as clean and quaint as Vichy but nonetheless it's bad ass. The streets and architecture is pretty cool. There public transportation is awesome with buses, trolleys, taxis, scooters and bikes. Pretty much wouldn't really need a car here. Not to mention gas is 1.90 franc per liter, which is about $6/gal us.

Wifey booked us a super booshey hotel and we got upgraded when we got there. When she booked, she did it through a third party site and jacked up the reservation and got is a family double room, which was two rooms together. Ok. We don't need two rooms for one night so I go down stairs to speak with the receptionist. Since it was done through a third party they couldn't give us a refund for the second room so they upgraded us to something in the price range we were at. Turns out we got a bad ass room with a killer view of the lake. So her oopsie worked out. The bathtub shower surrounded by glass is next to the bed. Lol I'm guessing its a luxury honeymoon suite. Complete with led color changing mood lighting, and under the bed lighting. This room was legit!

We asked the hotel where to eat, we wanted true Swiss food. They sent us to this little gem. Auberge au something, and oh my it was great. Small place with great service and great food. It was the best meal we have had on this trip. The steak cooked to a perfect medium rare, and the cheese fondue was incredible. Even had a working part phone in the restroom with an old fashion phone book!
