I want to buy a boat ticket so bad. But after driving out Sunday morning of Labor Day Weekend for the first trip on the new motor... some electrical/ignition bugs had me turning around 200 yards from the ramp.

So, after that turn around trip, I think the wife would be pissed if I bought a boat ticket and the boat doesn't run again . I guess I could paddle it into place?

We'll be out there though. I'll buy one if I get confirmation on a water test.

This time of year the highs are usually 95F-100F with lows in mid 80’s. Personally if I was planning this event I would have done it in July or August when it’s still hot at night and the water is much warmer. Even without this unseasonably cool weather the water is normally starting to cool down this time of year. I don’t think you can get people to sit in 70F water for a 2 hour movie?

We were down in the channel when it was starting. It was windy and fairly cool. I was wondering if people were actually going to try and get in the water or just watch from the shore.

Turn out was great. Most people did get in the water but we left room in front of the screen for folks to watch from shore. It did get cool but the water was actually warmer than the air temp it seemed. People were troopers and seemed most had a great time! We have some bugs to work out and a few things we learned this go round. Plans are already I place to do it again, larger and earlier in the summer.
