Flew down twice but seams weak compared to what I rode in! Fastest we ever managed was 1.2 from slc Utah.

Buy one of those then get a sweet contract with the DOD for aggressor work. Let Uncle Sam pay the bills for your fun!

Is it just me or does 4 million for anything from 1959 seems like it’s over priced? Lol

The first jet I ever saw. I was 5 years old and camping with my parents in Death Valley. 2 of them flew right over us at 50 ft. Startled the crap out of me.

It's like machine guns. Government controlled the supply,( the gd fucking Hughes amendment) so price went thru the roof. 20 years ago you could buy a Korean war saber for 50k, now they are between 1-2 mill in flying condition.

No you couldn't... F-86s were close to a million decades ago.

One of the world's only privately owned Mach 2 capable fighter jets.... The last of the completely pilot controlled fighter aircraft (no flight control computers).

The guy that owned, or still owns this thing had a Brummett 21 here at Mead for years. He found it in the Czech republic decomissioned and was able to purchase it, disassemble and ship it all back to the states along with all the hardware. They have been working on the restoration for well over 10 years if i had to guess.
