Is run time of 5 to 6 minutes, and 3 hours of charging pretty typical of these?

We run it for 15 minutes on the upgraded battery. I got 4 of them cheap on amazon and trade them out while the others charge. Charges in about 2 hours.

Keep it simple. My mother bought me a remote car that used 4 AA's. I beat the heck out of that thing for like 6 years. It would just keep on going. She also got me a boat with some simple to charge battery that never let me down either. Couple years ago myself and 2 buddies decided we wanted some cars... They got Traxxas I got 2 Losi's all on the higher end of what they sell. I don't believe I have ever managed to get all the way through a charge on the batteries before they broke. It was non stop working on them. The Traxxas cars were the same way. My car is in a box all apart, and my truck sits on a bench in the garage and looks cool. I don't dare try to drive it...might catch on fire and burn down the house.

Just bought the black one because it came with two batteries for $35 total. Wasn't looking for one but apparently needed one when I saw the deal.

Can’t go wrong for 35 bucks! Fun little toy, enjoy!

Been meaning to post but these were on a shelf I couldn’t get to. Did garage rearranging and cleaning today so got them down and took some pics. These haven’t been run in probably 25+ years. Have a couple outboards but i’m not gonna risk falling off a ladder trying to get them down.

Do you want to sell that Prather mono? What motors are in that twin Aero Marine cat?

I wasn't thinking of sellling them. The Prather is a deep vee. Back when I was into it the mono hull was almost sort of a semi v and they ran that set up with a surface drive. The Aero hull I set up originally for a Pico 90. It didn't run like I wanted. So, reworked the whole boat. I mean just like a real boat! Cut the stringers out, reglassed them in, filled all the holes in the transom and re-rigged for twin K & B 11's. I borrowed the 2 K & B 11"s off the other 2 boats. Put the props on and ran it. Because both props were left handed the boat always wanted to always go left. Re-did the servos almost all the way to the right, but at slow speed it would only go straight, I had no left. It ran okay, but I didn't care for that set-up because if I had to turn left to avoid someone it wasn't gonna happen. Went looking everywhere I could for a couple Octura right hand props, could not find any. So I abandoned that project. Might put a couple huge electric motors in it. But it will depend on the left and right hand props that are available.
I used to be a member of NAMBA, I ran at Legg Lake, the last time I ran there they were going to start construction on the drivers platform. I assume you are also a member with that Avatar.

Can't go wrong with ProBoats, they make a good product for the price and parts are readily available.

I have driven their cats, jet boats, and their latest the Sonic Wake.. hands down my favorite. It drives great on flat water, but really the best time to drive it is when it is rough. We had it out at Lake Powell this year and jumping wakes! It is self righting too so you don't need to worry if it flips over far away from you.

What’s this worth?
Son used it once and we flushed the cooling system with WD 40 and put it away.
His cancer hit and we never used it again.
Batteries haven’t been charged in 2 years so no guarantee on them.

Let's just say
I spent a small fortune. On gas and electric cars, trucks and boats, when my son was young
So glad he grew up . Lol

I still have it all, sitting on a shelf , that I look at , occasionally . Then laugh.
I think , I worked on that stuff , more then my River rods .
