Beautiful @RiverDave.

Unless you are adding doors right away may I suggest getting the lower door inserts. Makes me uncomfortable when my kids are in the back seat with the ability to stick their leg out at speed.

the metal lower doors and change out the tires for 32" Terrabites and be done with it. I put a carbon fiber wrap on mine, people look at it like it's a 40K rig. I like the factory rear tire holder also, next rig will have a flat roof and custom rack on the top, not the gay CanAm rack.

That is the first thing my daughter did when I brought mine home and my daughter sat in the back in the garage. Walked in the house and ordered lower half doors. lol.

Gonna end up something like one of these.

BB500.....
wrist restraints ?????
If you roll a side by side first instinct is to put your hand out to brace your self. I know everyone says no way but its very common. Window nets or outside arm restraints keep passengers from sticking there arms out side. BTW nice ride Dave !!!!

wrist restraints ?????

You put wrist restrains in so if you was it you don’t have the car roll over your arms etc. I haven’t ever run them, but know people that do.

I honestly don’t drive that hard that often. This thing will spend most of its ownership with me following around my kids in a ranger 150. Lol.

What’s the horsepower for these? Never been in one but have several trips with Wide Open in Baja under my belt. Seem similar in size and suspension travel. Which is the more capable off roader for those that have done both?

No idea.. 85-90 maybe?

195 hp on the 2020 RR. The one I accidentally bought originally was the 172 model. Not that it matters if this thing sees 40 mph in the dirt with me in it I’d be impressed.. lol. I just cruise around mostly unless @HB2LHC calls down the thunder like he did to me at when I had my Ranger. Lol.

Mostly I just want to chase my kids around in their little ranger.

So funny story of the night I show up to Jimbo’s house and he says

“That isn’t the right car.”

Old me says “what the fuck do you mean that’s the wrong car??”

He says “It says XRS on the side it should say RR.”

So I say “Well is day RR right there on the hood”

So we start the back and forth and I’m losing my ducking mind because I literally have been on the road since 8:00 this morning and it’s now 9:30 at night. On top of how in the blue duck did I buy the wrong one twice? Lol

I was getting ready to head back to San Diego and drop this thing back off when he finally got ahold of his dealer and they confirmed it was in fact the right car.

To Can Am if anyone over there ever reads this. YOUR MONIKERS ARE THE MOST CONFUSING OF ANY MFG OF ANY PRODUCT I HAVE EVER SEEN!

Good lord just pick some shit and stick with it!

We are exhausted so we ran to five guys and got a burger and are currently at the Holliday in Express.

Getting a quote from Jimbo at FU2 in the morning to go over all the details to make sure we are on the same page.

If that goes well it gets dropped off and the build starts.

What exactly will be involved in the "Build"? I don't know what the major need to have upgrades are on those. From what I gather of you, stereo upgrades are on the list somewhere:rolleyes: A-arms, axles, cage work?

There’s literally hundreds of options and it’s as custom as you want to get.. but for broad strokes

Cage / Roof / roof rack / spare tire rack / bumpers jack mount
Lights - light bars / dome lights / rear lights / under lights
Doors
Seats / + bench in back
Seat belts
GPS
Headsets / car 2 car
Stereo (which will be a whole deal in itself)
Wheels and tires
Etc..

Generally speaking the car is the cheap part and you spend more after than the car itself. The can am is a little better because you don’t have to do much to the suspension from what I have heard. I’d still like to get LTI arms for it at some point.

My Ranger was 18k new.. When it was done (a lot of it was sponsored) it was a 51k car.

We are eating breakfast and going over there after. I’ll post some pics of some finished cars so you can see.

Hey buddy just saw this right now! Don’t have your number or I would have given you a call.

I’m sure I’ll be back a couple times in the next few weeks delivering parts etc

If you are in HB getting your shirts, go by Don Ramons. Great Mexican food.
