Pretty badass but that don’t look like 100 degree Havasu air temps

I'm really curious what a boat could do with just one 450.;)

130's a good number, so I'm sure somebody will be gunning for him. That's what makes the next guy faster.

The new eliminator 25 with a single 450 would be very interesting to see how fast it runs and how low the cost is new

That’s the fastest I have heard of yet. Fastest I had heard of previous was 127

That should be a good one to see. Low cost is a relative term. The motors are a bit rich for my blood, but eventually the bigger motors won't be the top of the food chain. I figure learn what I can now, maybe put it to use later.

Randy in FL has one on a 22’ Liberator...dunno if he’s got his hands on the right prop or water conditions yet but I’m pretty sure he was already north of 120...with one hand on the wheel and the other holding his phone to video.

I LOLed when I read “low cost new” and “Eliminator”.

That would be fast for the price though. Probably run like a 540 or 565 I/O

Do you know what prop was used? I was hoping that boat ran over 100.

I don’t, the plan was to let me try it but thing went south at Eliminator for a bit when bob stepped aside so I never got the chance.

Ian dropping a bomb and walking off.. Well done sir.
Lol. It has no where near the torque. The 25 isn’t a small boat. The outboard setup is 700 lbs lighter than a 496 bravo one setup. 496 is a 70 mph boat. Barely enough to get the hull working. So this set up given 700 lbs less would maybe do 80
I retract My previous statement.

now twins on the other hand. Now we’re talking!

And it makes 25 hp more then the bbc as well. And also a bravo is not a surface penetrating drive while the 450 is so you can run a bigger prop and trim to a point that would exceed the 24.5” max trim of the driveline of a bravo. Thus making it more efficient as well.

There is a twin 400 being built now, should be interesting.

I believe they jumped to 450’s. You have as much experience as anyone with these hulls. What’s your guess on top end in the 25? The norm seems to be in the 7-10mph pick-up with the 450 vs 400. I would think the extra RPM’s of the 400 would be better VS the 450 torque. The 450 should spin a larger prop out of the hole but it’s not a 30’+ boat so I’m not sure it’s needed.
Either way, pretty cool time in boating. Looking forward to seeing some numbers.

As well as the biggest difference between I/O and outboard...... The CG being MUCH further back allowing the hull to free up with less air speed.

I’d like to see an RPM 26 Redline with a single 450! I bet it would run great!

Last week I was told they can’t get any 450’s yet. For awhile it was cod with merc following the bankruptcy but possibly that has changed now with the new owners. A hull can only go so fast up to its design limitations, there comes a point where it becomes an airplane and your just wasting money.

21 with a 300 lx ran anywhere from mid 90’s to 102. ??

22 with a heavier 400 you are predicting 70’s? I’d bet setup it runs more like mid 90’s? 450 105’ish..

If have to assume the cost and efficiency of the twin 300R would be right there and better than a single 450R

Impressive numbers for the DW and Skater. Interested to see what the Nordic pulls once its dialed. There is a 25' Speedster now waiting for 450's and that new cut down 36' eliminator is going to get 450's I believe that might run a good number as well.

Why is it that when the Nordic came ran they gave us the first number then have pretty much went ghost since? Dcb released there’s and so did dw. Why the secrecy from Nordic now? The suspense is killing my friend is why I’m asking...

I don't know about Wright or DCB, but Bully had a shakedown weekend, then took his new toy out of town the following weekend. Maybe it was running good enough to have fun, and hasn't spent much more time doing the boring stuff? I don't know what's all involved in dialing in something like these. Maybe it has spent time being sorted, or maybe it's just burning fuel. Either way, for what that rig must cost, I hope he's having fun with it;)

My water stuff will never be that fast, but watching stuff like that fly by, while sitting on the beach, is still fun to me:)

I know Bully has been over the top busy since Powell & doubt he has had time to test.
The Nordic 35 is a BIG boat with a narrow tunnel by today's standards. I hope Bully gets it to 130 but that seems optimistic to me.
I absofrickunlutely LOVE that all these manufacturers are running outboards like crazy now, even if theres ZERO chance I can buy a new boat anytime soon, nor would I want to, we love our boat.

Well in the build thread it seemed like we were gonna get a number soon still nothing is all. There was some back and forth between the dcb and his thread. I love the look of the fancy bass boats!

Paul had to Goto Florida to pick up a new toy. I don’t think he has had time to go out prop testing etc.

Not a cat but hallett is currently building a closed bow 210 with a 450 strapped to it!
A 210 with a 450 should be real interesting. That seems like a light enough hull that it should have good acceleration.

If a 300 or larger should happen to, "fall of the truck", There may be some glass work and fabrication going on in my garage...have a 21ft open bow that could be a ginnea pig;)

Love to see that, that be one bad boat!!!
I’d really like to see Nordic build a 21 with a 400 or 450 on it, they’re pulling 80+ with 300s on them
