So I’ve ran Brad Penn partial synthetic since the engine was built.
I ran Royal Purple on the last build with no issues.
Im out of Brad Penn and I have a bunch of unopened Royal Purple but it’s been on the shelf probably 6 years or so.
Would you run it? Would you order more Bead Penn, or would you go buy fresh Purple or other synthetic?
I want to change this today so I can put the boat in the water.
I figure switching brands is better than not changing it at all because it is way past due.

Order more Brad Penn, Royal Purple has it's place but way over priced for watered down run of the mill oil compared to some others. I also lump Lucas in the same category when it comes to API oils.

Look at the bottles and see if they’d collapsed and started “canning”...if they have, I’d not use it. If the bottles are still shaped like new bottles, I’d run it

Is Penngrade the same as Brad Penn?
I see conflicting info when googled.

I’ve been told by several people in the oil additive & base oil business that Redline is the best over all product.

They have a lot of PAO/ester based oils are and stout for sure.

Cheap or dirty oil is better than no oil. Clean oil is better than dirty oil. Quality filters keep clean oil from getting dirty.
I find all the rest is preference. The best oils won't stop metal shavings from ruining a engine.

I got the part number off one of my old Brad Penn bottles.
Ordered a dozen of the same number.
We will see if it’s Brad Penn or Penngrade.

Recently I was in a bargain store and actually saw an engine oil that suggested a use by timeframe.
