Felt nostalgic tonight and streamed Gumball Rally tonight. Haven’t watched it in years - it’s low-budget, but a great watch. Also noticed that in 1976 gas prices were an exorbitant $0.699 a gallon. Gotta love Linda Vaughn (Plan Alpha) near the end of the movie.

Didn't they have a real 427 Cobra in that movie? Bent aluminum body when running in the LA river, none of that fibre glass clone shit.

When I was about 11 or 12 a friends dad used to have a yearly BBQ, They played 3 movies. Gumball, Bullit and Blazing Saddles.
I can't imagine that same party these days.

Cruising in the limo after prom...Bullit in the VHS player. Three street racers and their dates. 2 of the three are married to those girls still! That was the first time I sorta watched Bullit, my only time in a limo...and later that night...well no...that wasn't the first or only

The guy I worked for as a mechanic did the motors “plural.” for the cobra. The would hit the moss/slime and not lift and boom. Another motor.

I watched them film it , the sand storm was at glamis they sand blasted the Rols Royce up at the parking and had 8’ fans down on hyway and 2 guys with bags of something and they where throwing shovels into the fans

If you notice on the stuck in LA traffic scene the front end on the Cobra is damaged, but when they get to the LA River the front end is intact again.
