Haven’t seen it like this in a couple years! Still not as bad as one of my first night’s here when I moved.. (made me think I might have made a mistake. Lol)

It’s gotta be in the upper 30mph, maybe 40 mph range??

I feel like I’m back in San Bernardino, my old house was at the bottom of cajon pass, wind blew like this from Halloween to March.
The wind in Havasu has been on and off like this for 2 weeks, is this the norm?

Wind settled last night in Carlsbad.
Hoping it stays that way. Was blowing into the 50 at the Safari Park yesterday.

They say the wind only blows two directions in Havasu.. North or South. :D (Meaning it never stops)

It gets windy off and in this time of year.

I always tell people that in Bullhead the wind only blows twice a year.
Six months from the north and six months from the south.

I had to put shoes on today, geeze, and I wore a sweatshirt, oh the problems we have in Havasu.
60* at 3:15 pm. Coolest afternoon I have seen since I went full time in May.

I can relate. Lived in Berdoo for 40 years. Pine-Irvington area for 20. It was common for sustained winds of 60mph, gusts of 80-100. Can't tell you how many times I had to rebuild my fence.....even when I used galvanized fence posts

I'm from the S.B. area also, been in Havasu about 9 years. We get winds, but IMO nothing like the Santa Ana's I experienced my whole life. Speaking of winds, hang on tomorrow.:D

I lived on maclay off Irvington (pine was behind my house),for 6 years, them moved a mile to Huntington off of palm, just north of palm school, we where practically neighbors.
Our first year in the maclay house, the CMU wall blew over at the end of the street on Irvington, that place was like living in hurricane alley.

Very little wind here, but lighting shut the cranes down today. So I am basicly paid today to do nothing. I even tried calling hr and telling them you don't need me today I should clock out. They said no.

I have a meeting with the higher ups Thursday about ideas I have to change some policies and cost cutting measures. I will bring this up.

It's almost the wild west out here when it comes to standards. I had to have the paint crew come back 6 times to get the correct mill thickness. They said they fixed everything each time they came out.... that's why you had too come out 5 addional times.

It's supposed to get STUPID windy tomorrow here in Ventura County. Gusts up to 80 MPH! They're setting up like emergency operations centers and stuff. Prepping for the worst.

Anywhere else in the world and the media would be talking about how bad the wind was....north end of San Bernardino....normal. We were on Rosemary Lane just across Pine from Maclay

You know it’s windy, when the pool has white caps.

...At my place at Lake Oroville I have experienced 80 to 100 mile an hour winds... the wind comes up over the dam ...across the lake ...travels a bit hits a bluff...and comes right up through my place above the lake... I have had to climb down some pretty steep hillsides to retrieve missing stuff...Because of the winds and the sometimes heavy rains... I have always kept my boats wrapped up like Christmas packages... Couple of times the 80 to 100 mile an hour winds have shredded a couple of boat wrappings...
