The doorbell only rang twice. The last time was at 9:00 pm. A young girl. Her parents were waiting on the sidewalk.

I answered the door and said hello. She was ready to take a piece or two from our candy bowl. I told her to open up her bag. She did. I then dumped in the entire bowl of candy into her bag. I was greeted with a giant smile. Her folks laughed.

This way I won't eat it all myself!

Surprisingly.....we had a pretty good turn out. Wife had to go get a couple more bags. I'd say from 6:15 to about 8:45....then boom....just stopped.

Hell of a turn out here in Corona. I was honestly surprised....I didnt think parents took their kids out ToT anymore with the trunk or treating shit people do now.

Nope not so good at our house... Been declining the past couple of years...But we did get the way to old to be doing this crowd. Smart asses to boot. So what does the RDP brain trust say is the age cut-off?

No Got 7 kids total. Brutal

I am at the end of a cul de sac so that might be a reason as well.

The weather was wet, and windy. Only had two groups of four or five kids each. That was at 6:45 - 7:00. No more after that. We gave out full size candy bars because we have so few.

I got zero- the same as I get every year. But that's what happens when your driveway is over a 1/4 mile long. We actually have to take our kid to friends house for trick or treating. The tradeoff is worth it though.

We do the trunk or treat thing with our kids. Our houses are on pretty big lots, 10ac... so ToT isn't a thing out here. Some people bus their kids to neighborhoods in town, but not our thing. Our last house in Cali was like that...six bags and done...lights out by 8, and didn't get home until 6:30!

None at my house, not a surprise though given in the last eight years we have had a grand total of 1 trick or treater. We took the kid into Walnut Grove, that's an experience for sure. A couple of streets are slammed, we are talking hundreds and hundreds, then all the other streets are empty. Its a great time in the chaos though and the boy had a phenomenal time so it was all worthwhile.

What I don't get was the young mothers trick or treating with infants. Like just the two of them, as we are talking under a year. I hate to say it but there was a very strong ethnic component to this trend. I just don't get it.

Zero. I move to retirementville. I decorated and everything. First year without our son and grandkids to. I feel like I put on 30 years.

We were surprised when nobody showed up. I live at the end of a cul de sac in La Costa. Most houses were well lit and some with decorations.

I heard that the number one costume for Halloween (again) this year was Nancy Pelosi. The good news is the kids only wear that costume once a year unlike Pelosi...

More than I've seen on the streets in a long, long time despite temps in the 20's and snow on the ground. I was really surprised. Last few years have been much better weather with less people

It was a light turnout this year. Real windy and on a Thursday, im guessing that had something to do with it. In years past it was pretty good.

Pretty light turnout in my neighborhood in OC but there is a much larger tract a block over which is a mad house. Mostly it was my neighbors kids and their families which was cool.

My wife loves it and spends time chatting with all the parents.

We actually had a good amount. Guy down the block does a pretty legit Haunted house so I pulls them in.

We live in a cul de sac too. Put up this dude this year and it helped since we are at the end

We live 2 streets away from one of those blocks that GOES OFF for Halloween - we got 0 at our house. Sitting outside last night I could hear all the kids running past our block to get to the one where all the actions was !

One nieghbor turns his house into a pirate ship - it’s so time consuming her only does it every other year...

Started out slow so I was giving each kid a handful, then it picked up with big groups and I thought I'd run of candy. Ran to the store and got 2 more bags, then of course we only had one at the door.

At least they're snickers and mounds left over in the bowl.

fairly light. It's been in slow decline since I moved here in 2006. the city has been doing the trunk or treat deal the past few years as well. we miss the prime hour as we trick or treat with our kids. oh well, ton of candy leftover to eat now :D

We had maybe 40 or 50. We live in an older neighborhood. As people die off, younger families move in. More kids now than when we moved in 8 years ago, but not many more trick or treaters.

Not bad in our neighbor hood up here considering it was cold as hell for it last night. Not too stoked driving to work through the neighborhood this AM, there were candy wrappers EVERYWHERE!!!

Next year I'm gonna buy a few of those giant half pound bars to give away. We'll make the three kids' day! LOL

When I was in college we lived in a not so great area. Had a few kids come around, enough that we ran out of candy. But the doorbell kept ringing. I bagged up live goldfish in water and gave those out. LMAO, the kids were thrilled... the parents...not so much. Getting a 25 cent fish meant they had to buy a bowl, and rocks, and a plastic seaweed and fish food. Bwahahahahaa

I got a trick: Every Halloween I work I get a silly call. This year was an asparagus box with a beeping noise that went off when Citizens and Cops approached it.
Sent Andros down to look and or destroy
Was four anti theft beepers some thief probably stashed to insulate the noise, lol. Another day in LA . No trick or treaters hurt but closed East bound 101 at Tampa down about 20 minutes...

Least amount we have had in 26 years in same house in San Clemente. Only 4 kids. Most of the kids in town all go down to T Street now.

Zero again this year. Most of the kids in Parker go to Bluewater Lagoon, it is the happening spot in our area.

I’ve been coming up to Tempelton to trick or treat with my nephew and nieces for 10 years now. They get a huge amount of kids and parents it’s like a revolving door drinking wine & 805’s walking the neighborhood fun times!
Nephew just turned 10 ! I’m getting old.

Historically we go to my nephews house in El Dorado Estates and it was packed for a good 3 hours. Lots and lots of kids.
