Hell yes ! All day training.
Loops , Rolls
Hammerheads, Humpty‘s, half and full Cubans, regular spins, flats spins. Inverted spins

And the craziest unusual upset recovery ever !!!
Head down eyes closed and the instructor ( aerobatic expert CFII ) trashes my equilibrium handing me the plane inverted, vertical, spinning who knows where and I recover when he tells me to. Awesome

Feeling really good about him NOT having to save my bacon at all today !!! Progress

How much altitude do you lose in those maneuvers.

Just landing a tail dragger would have me doing back flips. I can’t imagine the maneuvers. Really impressive and a whole lotta nope from me lol

Anywhere from 500-2000’
Spins lose about 400-500’ per turn.

Where are you flying out of?

I’m out of Upland Cable but I pickup the instructor lives in Mohave

Yes the taildrager no visibility takeoffs and landings was quite a transition.

We had a crop duster pilot that used to ferry us to altitude in a PAC 750 that would pull some cool shit if we were light....good times!

We were having a beer at hangar 24 a few weeks back when you came in and parked it. Said to my wife that plane is bad ass and matches my boat.

Thanks for sharing. You should be pleased with your progress, being able to right the ship after a blind handoff shows real skills.

After watching the video and counting the turns of your spins, I had to look at the specs on the roll rate. The maximum 270 degrees per second is awesome.

You're making yourself a safer pilot with acro training. Good stuff.

I am getting flashbacks to my ride home from CCB on Sunday. :D I had the opportunity to go up and sit co pilot in the extra with Paul. After about 15 minutes I had to tap out and have him go direct LGB. I was as white as my boat and cold sweating lol. It was an awesome ride but you have to train for it. Paul has been training hard and the maneuvers are unreal.

No idea about any of the maneuvers, but it looks like fun. I should take some tome and get the add on for a fixed wing

You are a bad MOFO Mr. Bully!!

Thank you, I’m just very very lucky that I can tolerate pretty much any attitude anywhere and it never phases my equilibrium.

Running tunnel boats is trying act like flying.

Flying is FLYING. Add Acro and it’s the ultimate rush and freedom.
Nothing else even comes close. It can’t.
