Asphalt, site concrete, grading, and retention basins. Only skip loaders I would use would be 445 or 545 New Hollands.

Dream job...fixing people, illness or injuries in kids.

...I was never that smart, so I fix cars and stuff.

Dream life though...tune up my house here, a pad on the water north of Needles, something badass docked out front and a new crew cab in the garage;)

Cool to see flip houses. I don't feel like I've worked a day in almost 20 years, and I go through 3 pairs of flip flops a year :D

Own/Run a hardware store/fixxit/light fab shop. Basically, old school hardware store with tight aisles and everything that anyone could ever need, back shop with machining/welding/metalworking/press capability. If I don't have it, I'd be able to make it or fix it on the spot.

R&D for a company like Bosch or TRW. Some company that supplies stuff for cars.

You know...

Get paid to break and blow shit up all day long? Just to see what works and what doesn't??

And maybe produce porn on the side, in Bora Bora.

:D

I've been thinking about this lately and wondering where my passion would have taken me if I could do it all over again. I like accounting and numbers so maybe something in finance. Come to think of it, the wolf of wall street has a nice ring to it..

The job, it's a fun job, no 2 days are the same no 2 calls are the same, every day is different. I ran 911 along side LACOFD and it made it easy to go to work every day. Don't get me wrong some days were bad actually horrible when you pull up on fatal accidents especially when kids are involved or kids that have drowned etc.... kids make it bad Presidents day 2001 on PCH almost in front of station 70 in Malibu was on of those days, 3 kids lost that day.

I use to do outfitting on mules. I would love to do mules in the summer and snowmobiles in the winter.

In Yosemite...

They have yerts set up about a days walk apart from each other. You have to win a lottery to get a pass to stay at one.

If you do, you can hike through the back country with just a CamelBak. When you get to the yert, dinner and a fresh bed is waiting for you!

They use mules to pack in all the supplies. A line of about ten or so would pass us every day when we did an early season hike one summer.

The yerts are in the Best spots in the back country. I've come across two of em while hiking. The closest one to a trail head was a day and a half in. The other one was about a 3 day hike in.

What a great way to see the back country.

The places we went and what we saw was really amazing. Places you were sure very few humans had ever been.
