This is Tom the Turkey.. Stacy and myself 15-16 Turkey together / 12 on RDP / 9 in Havasu..

Tom weighs 15.5lbs and is bending the shit out of my rotisserie pit.. lol

I had 13 over i amde everything from scratch. This is what is left of the 2nd bird ,second flat of cornbread stuffing, 15 lbs of mashed potatoes and 3 dozen roles.

Everything else is gone.

I am still trying to figure out if this is a good thing or a bad thing. I made a little over 3 quarts of gravy, I have one cup left.

I flipped the bird, the bird and had a Ham instead!

Everything turned out great - fat and happy!

That's bad. What are you gonna put on your leftovers?

From the time I was a kid until about the time he retired, my dad always made a heroic amount of giblet gravy on Thanksgiving. It was a thick roux made with turkey drippings cooked with flour, to which he added spices, sauteed onions and celery, hard boiled eggs, and the turkey giblets. It was then simmered about an hour to absorb the flavors and thicken a bit.

There was nothing better than a plateful of my mom's turkey, dressing, and mashed potatoes flooded with dad's gravy.
