* At 933 AM PST, a band of showers and isolated thunderstorms was
located along a line extending from Camp Pendleton to 9 nm west of
Oceanside to 21 nm west of Ocean Beach, moving east at 20 knots.
Additional showers and thunderstorms were developing ahead of this
line.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

Some of my trips pre-1983 I camped around there but once the kids were born I moved to an area waaaaay less crowded.

Got home from Hawaii and it looks like rain got into my house. Signs of water damage around fireplace and small puddle of water on hardwood floor. Thought, I fixed this from occurring again 9 years ago. Looks like tomorrow I will be pulling floors and starting the drying process. With a .05 deductible on my home owners, I started a claim, but don’t see that number being reached.

I saw a news headline that said the western states are going to experience an unprecedented storm. I guess no one remembers the 70’s and 80’s when we used to average at least two snow storms a year that would dump more than three feet. I remember one year it snowed every Thursday for like six weeks straight.
