Mine is 48.6°, we don't usually see it this cold until late December early January.

Low 50s LHC. But heater can bring our spa up to 102 in 3.5 hrs. That works for us. Per the wife’s suggestion, I leave the thermal bubble cover on the spa while heating it. Wife said it’s now like heating a pan of water with the lid on. Less heat escapes during the process. She was right. But damn, don’t tell her that. Lol

Good thread guys

Question.... for those in possible freezing areas, is there a serious concern for your pools freezing or cracking because of being frozen?

As said, 47* in Henderson . Change run time to 1am to 9am to prevent freezing. It takes multiple hours of below 32* for a pool to freeze. Think it was '08 when we got a 2 week spell of sub 40* highs and 6" of snow here. Left pool running 24hours and broke up the ice twice a day.

47 degrees here and dirty as fuck. Normally my pool is spotless but this time of year keeping up with all the leaves is nearly impossible.

I'm in Boise and we winterize our pools and in ground landscape sprinklers. Basically we blow all the water out of the pool lines and cap them. Similar with the sprinklers. We get some thin ice on top of the pool under the cover but it never freezes solid.
