Ended up in the attic...I think I got it all down. I actually don't mind putting the lights up. Thanksgiving weekend I'll put the lights up, and First weekend of the new year they come down.

What is everyone else's protocol?

Honestly there is nothing wrong with that...my single years I didn't do a fucking thing around the house...However now a days I married the Christmas lady, she's already watching that Hallmark shit...

I already have some up but, the boss says I can't turn them on until Friday.
Yup I haven't turned them on yet except to make sure they all work, I will officially turn them on on Friday.

I never have to take the xmas lights down. It's a pretty cool deal. I never put them up. Saves on the electric bill too.

The neighbors do a great job with their lights. We just look at those.

Since we’re hosting Christmas this year and the kids are old enough to have fun with it, I wanted to do a train around the tree. Picked up this O Scale on eBay and built a platform to fit my living room. Kids love it.

Exterior lights are going up next weekend.

I'm dreading this shit, sitting on my recliner right now. She just walked in and started discussing pictures in front of the tree later today with the kids.

Running through my head as she's talking (wait tree, what fucking tree, oh the tree in the garage under ten tons of stuff).

Shits getting ready to get real over here. Lol.

We didn't go all out this year. Inside is decorated, but probably won't put up lights outside.

We used to run a G scale under the tree till we got this one stupid cat that would knock it off the tracks 3 to 4 times a day.

Inside is complete...stayed home from the river this weekend to get it done. It is like Christmas threw up inside of our house.

Next...the outside. About 3 years ago, while hanging lights on the 2nd story, I had an epiphany...what the fuck am I doing hanging off the roof of our second story trying to hang lights. Since then, I pay to have them hung and then decorate after. He shows up today.

We tried a couple companies and found a guy who hangs them pretty inexpensively. One quote was $900, for that, I will risk my life and hang them myself. Lol

We started the inside last night, and I have yet to do the outside. I am trying to motivate myself to do it today and just get it done, but I have been fighting some kind of stomach bug since it hit me Friday afternoon. I feel like 50% better than yesterday, but not 100%. Thinking about doing it after work tomorrow seeing as Ill have my boots and work clothes on.

I put up the outside lights last week, nothing fancy but about 175 linear feet around the eves. I'm really surprised the wife hasn't ask me to get her inside stuff out of the garage.

So over the years we've discovered if we have a new dog during xmas tree time the dog will use the tree for its own personal toilet. Both piss and logs for us to find first thing in the morning. I'm all to familiar with this doggie tradition. All three dogs in the past years have done this. We have a new dog this year. Wife say this dog is different.

Decided on a whim today to put up the lights, might add some more over the next few weeks, but done for now. Wife and kids are doing the inside, I stay away from that mess. I'll post a picture when it's dark enough to see.

Our outdoor ladder tree, an 8,10,and12 tripodded together and tied down.we are really the only ones to see it other than those awake on Amtrak as they pass by on the other side of the river. Its been sort of a tradition for the 15 or so years.
