That ain’t so, not by a long shot but still a good dog Wifie wants to bring along on some rides.

How do you - or do you restrain yours?

I just can’t imagine being a dog and dealing all the dust etc.. Their snouts are way more sensitive then ours.

i was just thinking we wear those face masks etc. or variants. I watched people running with their dogs at desert bash a couple times and thought “god damn that dog has to he miserable.”
I don’t think people realize a dog would rather be uncomfortable and with its owner.. Doesn’t necessarily mean it’s good for the dog.

Not really. If you roll the SXS the results might just be identical.

But these are problems I don't have, as I don't own a dog.

Youtuber Cleetus McFarland has a 2 seater can am built for him by SXS blog guys. Cleetus is a dog guy. On the reveal they showed off a dog seat for his dog. It’s really just an extension of the seat base for more doggie room. I thought it was really cool.

Don’t have Mfgr info but you might check cleetus’ channel for the sxs reveal video.

Iv seen guys remove rear seats and put carpeted base down. The couple Iv seen the dogs seem to love it. Sand = less dust. And mountain trails. Cruising not to worried about roll overs

That's not me, that Doug McCowen and his dog Kookie. Back in the late 60's through the mid 70's they were a staple at D-37 events. They were both fierce competitors. There were a couple of other guys that rode with their dogs but this couple were the most notable.
My cat rode with me.

We have a pug, kids hold him on their laps with a blanket, he falls asleep and is super easy. Our friends have a RZR and bought the snap in flat floor from Tusk, they have a big Costco dog bed and their lab just lays back there with no issues. Hard Core riding, we leave the dogs at camp.

We did every ride, but we were in a Viking running mountain trails, not high speed offroad in the desert. They would just lay on the floor and enjoy the ride. I never did anything crazy while they were riding with us.

I built a dog seat for my RZR when it is just the 2 of us on a slow cruise. She gets mad if I leave without her.

Mine rides in the back seat, harnessed and leashed. The doggles last most of the ride. Sooner or later she gets over 'em.

The guy riding the motorcycle with his dog is John and Cookie. I use to race with that guy years ago. That dog was a smart dog.

I went to high school with Mike, we would hook up in Ocotillo wells and go for a ride. Mike & Opee had gotten 10 minutes of fame on TV at the Daytona super cross! Opee has passed and Mike lives in Lake Elsinore area we talk 2-3 times a year.
