This might be a great opportunity!

Since an AR15 lower is "the gun"

I'll buy up a shit load on unfinished
80/20's and submit those. Figure $75 each unfinished, cash out for $200 each. I see no problems here whatsoever!

It's amazing that anything politicians do involves throwing money at something. Nothing involves an evolution to reach an end goal.

What constitutes a “successful” buy back?

Simple math tells us that, using a conservative estimate of 375,000,000 guns in the US and $150 per gun, the cost of buyback is...
$56,250,000,000.00

30 minutes seems like a long time does it really take that long?

Arizona CCW Permit Holders have NO wait period when purchasing a new firearm.
It’s been a while since I’ve bought anything but it didn’t used to take that long even if you didn’t have a CCW, maybe things have changed.

I bought 2 guns at Big 5 in Havasu. My CCW was in Nevada at the time. It took them longer to fill out the forms than the background check and I still walked out the door in less than 30 minutes.

That makes sense, I think the last time I bought anything it took maybe five minutes if that it usually comes back pretty quick, if it doesn’t you probably have issues.

Not many people are going to sell their guns for $150 each.

Exactly.
Not many will sell them for anything, truth be told. I certainly won’t.
“Buyback plan” is just plain ignorant as any kind of gun reduction plan.

Thats right up the road from me. I should hang out in parking lot & offer $300 for every assault rifle. No questions asked of course

You can buy a gun in an hour or less in any US City. Ask any criminal.

I think many are inoperable or J.C. Higgins recalls that are worthless. Sure there are a few Gems but from the photos I have looked at most are rusty junk.

Exactly. The news story always starts out showing a picture of an evil “assault weapon” but what is usually lying on the collection table is junk. It’s laughable, I have a couple of junk guns that I’ve inherited over the years, I wish I lived close enough to go down and make $400 turning in junk.

Which is why I asked what constitutes a “successful” buy back as the article described 2 previous as being.

A couple busted up glocks and half an M1 may not be a “successful” operation.

You have to "define" work. Media feelgood coverage is a lock.

Last time Sacramento steamrollered all the "a Salt way pons" the S K S s were the strongest, most durable pee shooters that couldn't be destroyed nearly as easily as the rest. Worthless SHOT show triva.

Same with Texas.

You fill out the atf paperwork, but they don’t call for the instant NICS check...but that call only takes a few minutes anyway.

Gun buybacks are a great way for entrepreneurs to make a few bucks.

These are literally pics of guns “bought back” in no-questions-asked programs [emoji106]
