Thursday night I got a phone call from a cousin that I didn’t even know I had so I had sol drive my ass to the foothills to meet her.

I love answering your own questions.

Only thing missing is saying it in the third person. ;)

Night qualifying start..

Seen a lot of boats with smaller wakes..

I think they were running a surface piercing drive..

Prototype curves in green, and the wake in red.. The effects with the car lighting at night were awesome..

.

Our friend Sam qualified the car 32nd out of 45 cars, about where it belonged in a sea of highly modified stuff.. He was most concerned about bringing the car back safe so we could be ready to start the race the next morning.

About 3 hours into the race, there was about an hour of sun..

Sunset was insane, eye of the storm..

Our team car.. A basically stock BMW 330i

Andy and I watching for the car, ready for another fuel stop, middle of the night..

.

About 3 or 4am.. Team on the wall, Andy and I about ready to jump into pit road again, for another stop..

.

5:30am, repairing the power steering...

First color in the sky, the flaggers lit by headlights..

Dawn..

.

It was not our car. We were helping a good friend. But the feeling of joy watching the car make it to the line, was just plain incredible.. Such an epic weekend..

.

Team photo.. The guy who fixed the damn car would not get in the picture..lol But the rest of the team..

LOL,

1 text and I was in a meeting, sorry I didnt get back to you. I miss Havasu, hope to be there at least 1 more time before New Years but its looking doubtful. But we are having a blast and this event was epic.

Btw, Mike and I were the only team members who actually did the entire 25 hours, we were the ONLY pit crew for fueling. Not that anyone slept much but Mike got maybe 1 1/2 hours, I think I got as much as 2 ;)

Friday night sideline at my son's high school CIF state champion game, they lost. Saturday train ride down to Solana Beach for KSON Christmas Country Fest Concert. Meet n Greet with Hardy and Kip Moore tore it up. Kids made it up to second row while we kicked it in our box. Sunday watched football all day on sofa with 2 puppies and mexican food. Missing Summer

I spent the weekend working on my old 2smoker. I'm taking it out of my service fleet and bringing it home to terrorize my neighborhood with. Still cleaning her up, but I got some new led headlight and tail lights installed as well as nice little no frills bluetooth stereo. And my rgb music controller is mounted. I'm waiting for some diamond plate I ordered to get here to install the rgb underglow on the cart.

Left--->Right:
Paradise Cove Marina
West Beach Marina
Emerald Point Marina
South Shore Marina
Lake Travis Lodges Marina

The one on the far right mainly houses sailboats so we dont count that one....

I used it for about 2 years to bounce around the marinas and had a big ole tool box on the back and a hitch to tow a wagon as well. I also disabled the governor so it can do about 30-35mph

Now the shop I contract for has shop trucks and shop boats available for me so it's been getting neglected for the last year or so
