I can tell you what he said. Quit trying to do all the shit you used to and take it easy. Increase the PT, quit the dirties and curtail the silver bullets.

We all know that has been said and RD tried to reduce smokes and beers.
It lasted 2 weeks

About half of the restaurants there are consistently worse than "normal". The Dickey's and Tommy's in Barstow are both subpar.

Is the Dickey's really that bad? I have always wanted to stop there but Dickey's is famously hit or miss.

Just think after January 1st your deductible starts all over again and you get to start paying through the nose for physical therapy! Dealing with this now for my shoulder surgery $15 a visit now goes to $75 a visit after January 1st. Trying to cram as much PT in now as possible before the end of the year as well as advice on exercises to get as much range of motion back.

After months of dealing with physical therapy... good days / bad days.. Tryong to find some balance how much is too much versus not getting anything done it’s time to have a follow up appointment with my surgeon.

Went and got X-rays on Thursday.. X-ray tech looks at the screen and says “that’s a bad break!” I said should be healing right? She looks back and sad “Wrll I’m not a doctor.. but??” Oh boy...

Have you ever added up the total number of bones combined in the human ankle and foot? It's a crazy amount. Keeping all of those in place and undisturbed while allowing the broken pieces to heal, is not an easy or quick task.

The sooner you get this accomplished the better. Age does not speed up the process.

The only way he could make any money from it is if he relocated back to California:D

I’ve been there twice. I won’t go again. Every other Dickey’s I’ve been has been decent.

If you leave civilization with a full tank...you won't need to fill up in the middle of no where at those prices. I put 23 gallons of 89 in my truck today in LB for less than $90
You need the big fuel tank in your next truck. I can make it from Loves on the 40 to OC and back to Loves on the 40 on a single tank.
This is what happens when Mrs. RDP isn't co pilot.

So I’m on a turn around trip.. I didn’t slee for shit last night because of the rain and the hardware in my foot.. (that’s awesome) so I am not sure if I will make it back tonight or not. However being the forever optimist I did not bring a change of clothes or a toothbrush LOL.

interesting note.. if you stream Easy Rider.. opening scene is the 40 and this natural gas pipeline!

I thought you were gonna say when sanity isn’t the copilot lol.
He either forgot to top off in Havasu or was driving like a dick. I can make it to Barstow on less than half a tank from Havi and the Armada gets shit for MPG.

One thing I love about my 7.3 Excursion (with it's 44 gallon tank), it rarely sees a California fuel station.

My distance figure with the big tank was at 85+ MPH. It is only like a $300 option. I think it has already paid for itself in cheaper gas carried across state lines lol.

I've got a cheaper option for ya...... Helped me avoid putting ANY California gas in my tank last time we took the Yukon to LA.

For the last few months i have not filled my truck up in cal. I get gas at the new 76 at erinburg. My truck does about 550 miles on a tank.
Ive saved prob 200 bucks in 2 months

I was getting about 550 per tank as well. Then at about 15k miles the mileage jumped up on mine, I’m getting about 600 on a tank now.

I carried 2 dump cans in my dually when I was moving. Hauling a 36ft enclosed, fill at Erhenberg, to Alta Loma and back;) Just needed the extra 10gl.
